LOL, Gus reminds me of my Katie. She's a ball fanatic that soars into utter lunacy if the ball happens to squeak as well. We haven't tried giving her a basketball. Maybe we should. She had a giant tennis ball that was about the size of a basketball and she eventually managed to chew it up. She is like Gus, though, in that she doesn't destroy anything but her own toys. She's always been like that. You just gotta love Bullies!

@Auntiebeb no, no...haha. I know it seems like he's a destructive dog, but really he's very well behaved. I give him carte blanche to ruin his own toys but truth be told, Ginger is my trouble child!! She's always in trouble for something! haha.

My 2 dogs (shepard/chow/collie mix & Amstaff mix) looooove basketballs. I buy them when i see them at garage sales because my dogs like gus, get the thrill of popping them and then carrying them around forever. But you get a lot of basketballs for cheap at garage sales. The other day I scored 10 for $10. Way better than paying $10 plus for just one. They love flat and old basketballs just the same as the new ones. Its so fun to watch how excited they get.

@Jessle1000 he was more excited about his gift than my son was about his! Gus definitely made Christmas morning fun :) He sat in front of the tree for days just staring at it, waiting for the go ahead to rip into it. He knew there was a basketball under that tree just for him :)
