Ok stop whining like sissies. In 82, France should have won against Germany. They lost. In 2006, they should have won against Italy. They lost. In 2000 they should have lost against Italy again. They won. Sport isn't mean't to be fair! Ireland were the better team on the pitch, I agree on that. But these things happens. The sheer scandal lies in the way France and Portugal have been protected during the draws. 4 the match, just give Henry a break. He did what everybody would have done.

I agree with most things you say Valery, but I have lost all respect for Henri. He may have done what most people would have done but that does not make it right. He is a multi millionaire, has trophies galore, has been to three world cups and even won one. How much is enough? He was given a gift by God to achieve all these things, but not to abuse the gift. How can he now take to the pitch in South Africa, under the fair play banner and holding the hand of a child and not feel like a fraud?

but he is still respected and i respect him even though im english and he scored that against us!! but i respect him becuase he was a fantastic player! though i do understand that it was a cheating and ridiculous move what henry did, but what can i say, we are only human and sometimes we think that we can get away with things against the rules without people noticing and this happend to be very obvious and turned out a lot worst than he probably thought it would.

Really?! Nope. In 82 Germany were way ahead France, in 2006 they were really pathetic, I don't imagine how they went though the final. An what about in Euro 2000? When Italy 100% deserved to win, but the French got a shitty luck?! And not everyone is a cheater, some have pride. I don't think anyone would have made Henry's gesture to play the ball with his hand. OK?!

Germany in 82 had a butcher as goalkeeper, the named Schumacher, who made a real attempt on Battiston who was on way of scoring, in this game France lead 3-1 during he extratime, before Germany equalized. in 2000, France was better than Italy mentally, Italy just defended after scoring and played counter attacks but france equalized in the end of the game. France 2000 was really tough.

It's wrong, indeed. He was upset, he was afraid his team might lose. The ball was a bit too far away. He brought it back with his hand. It was wrong. The whole thing took half a second. It's a mistake. Is it a crime?

That's the game as unfair as it is, but in 2006 world cup final they used video to send zidane off. I'm sad we qualified this way but it would have been the same with an irish player, they're no angels too. Henry may be a cheater but it was referee's job to deal with it.
By the way even if the goal had been disallowed, nothing mean that Ireland would have qualified. They played on their best level in France but it still wasn't enough to beat a french team playing at such pitiful level.

The whole tournament is rigged so that the big teams get into the finals....just look at how we ended up drawing France in the first place with that bullshit seeding stunt...if all FIFA want is for the big teams to qualify then they should just put the top 32 seeded countries in the world straight into the competition and abandon the qualifiers altogether.
