I just bought a revo 4 a few weeks ago and it doesn't show all these patterns, like the ones shown here in the video, why is that? ive put over 50 hours watching it on show 0 and I dont see half of whats shown here in this video! most of the patterns i havent seen are the reason I bought the thing!!!!

I've had this light for a few months and I've seen a lot of these programs run through. I used an Elation DMX operator 192 because I wanted to run only certain programs but I can't seem to get what I'm looking for. Is there a way to program it so only certain programs run and not just the 1-12 that the Revo 4 has on the back?

@COCODRILO93 I'm pretty darn sure they are using the Hazer machine. Much better than putting out fog. But their fog machines are great too. I have the fogstorm 700 and it sets off fire alarms lol.

I want to use this in a 14 ft by 18 ft foot space that is carpeted. Is this light to big for a 14ffx18ft space? Will this light still look good on carpeting? If this light is too big what adj light do you recommend? I want a light that does a fair amount of effects but it doesn't "have" to be crazy.
@myselfmee - This light would be a good choice for that size of a floor. As far as the carpet, it will show but if you have a lighter shade of carpet, it would bring out the endless mix of vibrant colors a bit more.
@myselfmee I have a revo rave light (it is similar to the revo 4), and the light looks perfectly fine shining on carpet. I personally have never seen the revo 4 in person, but i would guess that the light is a good size for a 14X18ft space, if it isnt you can always move the light closer or farther away to adjust the size of the projection. I would also recommend that you take a look at the revo rave because it is a very good light and it is also cheaper than the revo 4
I just got Revo 4, and i have to say i love it. Dont listen to the haters that say you wont see every program on the video. Some programs are only awaileble while in random mode. After one hour on im pretty sure i've seen every program. The lights are awesome, higly recomended with smoke.machine. You get insane effects. By far the best light-machine in its pricerange. All creds to ADJ.
i see by the video that the light is only 5ft or so off the floor would of been better and truer if it was higher of the ground as we all know the edges of the light would of been not as sharp and a little bit of white light in the back ground would also show us the true power of the light ..blacked out rooms and haze always looks good .im going to look at this light hands on its the only way to buy ..seeing is beleveing !!

0:32 Has something from a Laser^^ But would be better if you could put RGB LEDs in it to avoid making the light so colorful. Would be better if you can use all leds in only one color^^
Alright What ADJ did is they recorded it for 20 min and they edited it down alot so they could show you as many programs as they could the programs on the light last longer in the video so when you use it at a gig for 4 hours there is always a new program for the aduence.
For thoes of you who own it and dont see al of the efects you havent looked at it log enough to let it go through all the programs.

Random mode doesn't work. My revo must be in sound off mode to play random shows (show 0) but whatever I try...it will not run a random show...it stays on the way it is when its in sounactive mode while there is no music playing. Revo 4 plays shows 1 till 12 perfect, but show 0, or random mode is no option. Can you help me with this? Everything that's in the manual i tried. Thank you and Kind regards,

Thanks for your feedback. The Revo 4 runs random shows when it's in soundactive mode, so that's no problem. Only in sound mode OFF it will do nothing. When i choose show 0 (random), hit enter and then the menu button for 3 seconds it jumps to the mode when it's waiting for music, the mode were you see all the dots. And that's weird...because the revo is in sound mode off so it will do nothing. The mic by the way works perfect when i tap on the revo so thats no problem. Thanks!
It is amazing that despite the fact that the Revo 4 began hitting the market back late last year it is still drawing rave reviews and for good reason ... it is an arsenal of an effect! I am working on a skating rink redo currently and I am spec'ing these along with the new Hyper Gem LEDs. If you haven't taken the time to get familiar with the Revo 4 .. now is the time! Hi all, your replies have put me off buying this lighting too, why don't ADJ & other's like Acme etc state in there video's IF a controller is used or NOT, even make of controller etc. Such a simply easy ONE LINER to add, This is better then FALSE Advertising. Come on guys you want us to buy your products & grab our HARD EARNED CASH.
I purchase three of these for my lighting hire company and they were the biggest disappointment. I do not believe that these are the same light! I have gone through all of the patterns and this does not come close to the video.
If you are going to buy one of these please make sure you see it in action first. It is still a reasonable light but not what is advertised.

@djnick37 - Nick, we simply put the Revo 4 in show "0". The Revo 4 offers a large variety of random programs. We recored 20 minutes of footage and edited down the video to a few of the programs. We were not intending to false advertise, nor has American DJ ever attempt to do this.
@adjlighting I've tried putting the unit into show "0", sound active on, and it just sits on one pattern show (basically all green dots, all red dots, all blue dots, and then various combinations of all dots on. Tried with sound off, etc... and no luck. I can only place it in one of the shows and it stays there. Show "0" is definitely not random. we sat there watching it for 30 minutes and it showed only one sequence over and over again (i.e. one show).
@tmorehouse It sounds like the mic is not picking up any noise. Either the music isn't loud enough or the mic is broken. Tap the mic on the back to see if it changes in time with the tapping. If it doesn't then the mic is busted and you need to return to the original store for a replacement.
No programs were changed. If you put it on Show "O" it will go through all programs.
Hey - I have Revo 4 and I see none of these great patterns ! I will make video, how Revo 4 really works with Soubd active "0". There are none of these patterns, you see in this video !
Reply to your comment at 0.43 sconds into the video -it does say that this is just going through all the built in light shows -so you dont need a a controller to re create the exact show -but you can DMX it with 512 protocol to select each scene or you can use the hand held AMDJ -that will black it out - or selact any scene and is a lot less coplicated than DMX 512

My REVO III is my favourite light at the moment, but I have to get this one now too. Point this one on the ground, like an old school DISCO dance floor and my REVO III on the ceiling, as usual.
i got it in the mail....and i see it has 0 - 12 shows....you said show 0 displays all of them...but so far, i'm not really seeing it to much...would i have to use a controller to make it do everything in this video?
Just bought this light and used it this past Saturday. I didn't see any of the real cool looking patterns shown in the demo video. I tried both sound active as well as running through the twelve programs. Was this a custom programmed demo or am I doing something wrong?
party11967, No programs were changed. If you put it on Show "O" it will go through all programs. Sometimes you have to wait a bit to see the same programs as it goes through some random pick of all programs.
Show "0". Is this for Sound Active mode also? Based on this video...I bought it and just got it. Really cool, but I also didn't see some of the cool patterns. Thanks.
It's absolutely beautiful! I am just frustrated with LEDs that only do Red Green Blue and White beams - I think that people on the dancefloor are starting to notice the lack of color depth that they became accustomed to.
djbenjinyc - thanks for your comments. ADJ does have other LED lighting solutions outside of RGBW beams. Check out the X-Move LED, X-Scan LED, H2O LED. We also have our TRI Series LED products that produce 7 colors.

@1234567891nico There is a 256 chanel mode which allowes you to control every LED seperatly. I recommend you use software with a matrix editor.

@adjlighting I've tried putting the unit into show "0", sound active on, and it just sits on one pattern show (basically all green dots, all red dots, all blue dots, and then various combinations of all dots on. Tried with sound off, etc... and no luck. I can only place it in one of the shows and it stays there. Show "0" is definitely not random. we sat there watching it for 30 minutes and it showed only one sequence over and over again (i.e. one show).

@tmorehouse It sounds like the mic is not picking up any noise. Either the music isn't loud enough or the mic is broken. Tap the mic on the back to see if it changes in time with the tapping. If it doesn't then the mic is busted and you need to return to the original store for a replacement.

Why can't you just build a light that allows you to choose one of those patterns and let it run as long as you like?

Hi,Your video says sound active mode or show "O" I have had this light on for over 4 hours and I still havnt seen half the programs on your demo.
Is there a difference between UK and US models?
The box says UK model but why!!! because you still dont get a UK lead with it ???

I brought one and mine doesn't do all the patterns that are on the promo video. However it still good but not as good as the video.

No programs were changed. If you put it on Show "O" it will go through all programs.
Hey - I have Revo 4 and I see none of these great patterns ! I will make video, how Revo 4 really works with Soubd active "0". There are none of these patterns, you see in this video !

Reply to your comment at 0.43 sconds into the video -it does say that this is just going through all the built in light shows -so you dont need a a controller to re create the exact show -but you can DMX it with 512 protocol to select each scene or you can use the hand held AMDJ -that will black it out - or selact any scene and is a lot less coplicated than DMX 512

I Love this new light.
My REVO III is my favourite light at the moment, but I have to get this one now too. Point this one on the ground, like an old school DISCO dance floor and my REVO III on the ceiling, as usual.

Just bought this light and used it this past Saturday. I didn't see any of the real cool looking patterns shown in the demo video. I tried both sound active as well as running through the twelve programs. Was this a custom programmed demo or am I doing something wrong?

party11967, No programs were changed. If you put it on Show "O" it will go through all programs. Sometimes you have to wait a bit to see the same programs as it goes through some random pick of all programs.

The Revo four looks like a really good lighting unit

It's absolutely beautiful! I am just frustrated with LEDs that only do Red Green Blue and White beams - I think that people on the dancefloor are starting to notice the lack of color depth that they became accustomed to.

djbenjinyc - thanks for your comments. ADJ does have other LED lighting solutions outside of RGBW beams. Check out the X-Move LED, X-Scan LED, H2O LED. We also have our TRI Series LED products that produce 7 colors.

Im so sick of these overcolored judder effects
on the dancefroor.
Sometimes i wish the time back where everybody setup some nice real Goboflowers, some Scanners, Strobe
and some near spot PARs.
This Effect would be nice when it setup behind some plexiglass or backpro canvas
to simulate a Videowall.
