I have to say I really like that layout and the rolling stock as well. I have recently bought some pre-owned MkIII's in the Orange/Black livery which I have been searching some for ages. I won six of them, some need patching up but they will star behind my quattro of GM Class 201's that I own.
@tbmsp: No problem, I shall be doing my first video as soon as I get my baseboards assembled and the tracks laid down in the spring. Keep up the great videos buddy and I hope you will upload more footage in the future.
@CurvaSud14: It will be mainly an Irish Layout with some fictional repainted rolling stock to "fill" the gaps but I will have "Open Days" where British and Continental rolling will run on it as I am going to have a fictional Railway Museum on the layout with a roundhouse that will have some HO and OO gauge model trains in the lanes near the turntable to simulate non Irish locomotives that are owned by the Museum similar to that of the NRM in York.
Your layout is easily the best Irish layout I've ever come across, helped in no small way by your fantastic freight models. You should do some layout tours and TALK TO US!!!
@Damocles178 Pity they didn't keep the livery, I much prefer it to the current enterprise one. And now there are no loco hauled services in Ireland apart from the push-pull service from Dublin-cork and Dublin-Belfast.
@CurvaSud14 Yes I rather liked the blue one's too; it was perhaps the best livery for a 201 :) I think I only ever it once in real life as it wasn't long till Enterprise livery was introduced. Unfortunately there was little chance of the liverys survival since the 201's belonging to Northern Ireland Railways (Along with some Iarnród Éireann ones) were for the sole purpose of pulling the enterprise; I don't think they had any regular passenger runs in Northern Ireland :)
@Damocles178 Yeah. I know it's not practical, but I would love the enterprise to still be composed of a 201 in nir blue livery and nir mk2s, or a 201 in ie livery and ie mk2s.
Hi Curva, thanks for the comments. I hope to upload some more vids in the near future, so keep watching. The Container train is now longer with proper 40ft containers.
That's absolutely stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great quality camera work and the Gatwicks are fantastic especially the tail lights! If you could out up some more videos of the 201 IE livery pulling the mk3s and 201 intercity livery pulling the freight it would be brilliant.

@EWS60008 Yea I was wondering, your 201s and mk3s would go to waste! Will it be just an Irish layout or will it be English too?

Love this. Apart from the white 201 this really does reflect a mid 90's setting; it's hard to believe how quickly the blue 201's faded into memory :)

Hi, I have modified some Bachmann class 66 chassis, and the Lima bodies sit on them, giving superb running qualities at all speeds.
