@dru42or3 I'm playing a Yamaha AES1500B that has been equipted with Gibson Country Gentleman pickups. It's a great playing guitar. What is a SHINE guitar?
My brother and I played last Saturday at the North County Jam in Sale Creek. I use to go to Charlie Taylor's garage on Friday nights, but I do security work on Friday nights now. Send me your email and I can let you know when I do. Thanks
Often I just let you play in the house when I am going about my things, your better than a radio! I let my girlfriend hear you the other day and she said "Why are there two people playing at the same time"? ;-) That's talent! I play myself and I wonder..... why bother after hearing you play... but I am thinking of trying to learn this and you will be my inspiration.
"Why bother after hearing you play", I'll tell you, because hearing someone else play doesn't even compare to playing it yourself. It's a whole other ballgame. Go for it! You can do it, and I will help all I can. How about if I send you the CD of mine that has Trambone on it? Throw it on your player and play along.
You started to say something? The difference between this and the other version is here I'm playing along with my own CD recording, which is a little different. Thanks
Some ask me why I don't use the Bigsby on this tune. I say, there are two reasons. 1) I'm not Chet Atkins, 2) I didn't own a guitar with a Bigsby until I was 40, by then I was already set in my ways. Thanks, Billy
Man,you are great. I have this on an old 45RPM record by Chet Atkins and it has always been my favorite. You sure do the song justice! (Do you by any chance know the song on the flip side called "Blue Echo"? Would love to hear you do it)
Blue Echo is one of my favorites too. Like many Chet tunes, I played it years ago, but I haven't set down and picked through it in a long time. I have to give it a shot. Thanks
Sorry about that. I rarely play a tune exactly the same way twice. On the other version I played solo and I tend to speed things up when I play by myself. I also added a little single string improv. Glad you like it. Now, get this one down.
IS THAT A SHINE GUITAR??
