  • MJ was a good guy

  • @dominogirl--really? "Concerns" because of a news opening? The fact there are snippets of video composed into a news opening has nothing to do with the "quality" of reporting by a station.

  • Ryan would have turned 40 years young today--12/6/11...rest in peace

  • I watched this already feeling emotional about Ryan White... but then I watched the opening I have to say I have SEVERE concerns about the quality of 'news' this station was reporting if it has a person dressed as a rabbit in the opening credits..

  • He would've been 40 years old today. Happy Birthday and Rest in Peace, Ryan.

  • @srubi74 and yet we still have children being refused entry to schools due to their HIV status :(

  • @scrompi88--it isn't even worth repeating here, I'm sorry. Just imagine lots of hate and homophobic fear thrown in. Sad thing is, homosexuality had NOTHING TO DO with Ryan White.

  • May God Bless You Ryan White.

  • Ryan White was a true american hero

  • he was talk about all day that day

  • Nothing like having AIDS to bring out the Hollywood people!

  • RIP ryan i hope one day we find a cure

  • Sometimes its about quality and not quanity of time on earth. The young man did more to change the world for the better than any damn politician in D.C. ever could.

  • I was not alive when Ryan died, but I truly admire this kid. This boy truly cared for the cause and was a beautiful person. I have no idea what people with AIDS or HIV go through, but I'm glad that Ryan was able to make an impact in a time where people were so ignorant about AIDS. I'm glad Ryan moved to an area where he was accepted with open arms, and didn't use his fame in a bad way like a lot of celebrities do today. He used his fame to help other diseased children, and he helped the world u

  • The part where MJ is comforting Ryan's mom tore me up. I teared up so bad. That was so sad. What a coragous woman. Ryan was definitely a hero but so was his mother.

  • 0:27 - :29 Stinks.

  • @newyork2009--I can't begin to know what you must feel. But I'm grateful there are medications today that have lowered the death rate of this disease. It's no longer a death sentence as it was in the 80's and early 90's. Ryan certainly went through hell. But he and his family endured and did it with dignity. God bless him, his mother and his family...and my wish to you of good health and peace.

  • I am living with the disease myself now and watching these old tapes of him just makes me cry knowing what he when through truly sad. There may be medicine now thats better then its ever been but for me I still have trouble living with it and know what I have. I have promised myself to make it to RW grave and pay my respect how I get there I dont know but he is inspiration maybe the visit will give me the strength and the will to wanna to keep fighting this. RIP RW

  • The crap this kid went through is more then most adults could endure. Good thing out of his death is that it woke people up a little more. Ryan White's memory will never be forgotten.

  • That was the nicest thing I've seen. Michael and Donald going to Ryan's mother paying their respects.

  • Ryan White is hero who teaches us how to love and forgive. We'll be missing you so much even the time is through, Ryan.

  • @thisusernameistaken2--I've removed your post. You obviously are an ignorant person who has never known anyone whom has died of AIDS. You really should educate yourself...

  • @phillyvideofan What did he say? Just curious... He must of said something really fucked up... yes... most of the people on youtube are ignorant. It's sick what this world is coming to, I am astounded by the comments that I see on here. I can't believe people can be so cruel!

  • Ryan was my age. He would have been 40 today! Man, how the time flys! Thank you for uploading this. Ryan will always be in my heart!

  • ryan white was born in indian in 1971 when mj lived there in indian as well, that's what made mj and ryan friends plus he was a child, mj adore children.

  • Poor Kid :(

  • @gladUcameAgain--thank you for your post. Beautiful thoughts and so compassionate. God bless you.

  • Jan 3, 2011.

There are very few people on this earth that I truly admire. Ryan White is one of them. He was an incredible person. He went thru so much Hell, before he went to Heaven. The harassment was constant, but Ryan said he forgave them all.

I have been blessed with 1 daughter, and if I ever had a son, I would want him to be just like Ryan.

It hurt too much for me to comment on Ryan until now -- 20 years later.

Thanks to all the famous ppl that supported him, and AIDS awareness..

  • mj so kind to cofort them

  • Twenty years after his death, Ryan White is everywhere and loved.

He was an angel. God rest his soul.

  • so sad, what a strong willed kid..

  • bless ryan's family

  • on 3:33 Ryan White he is sad right?

  • Thank you for posting this broadcast. It's hard to believe it's been 21 years since his death. He was the pioneer that began to change world perspection on a disease with such a bigoted stigma.

It was encouraging to see those that did try to help him break down barriers. Elton gave a moving performance. Jeanne went sobbing into Michael's arms.

Ryan we will never forget you.

  • 8mycrab, it was on April, 8, 1990. 20 years not 21.
