Punchey says he watched the machines as the ballots were unloaded, -- why couldn't this be done in public -- what was there to hide? Also, why not count the ballots in the open -- with 60 teams of 2 -- results would have been known in 1 HR -- not 2 hrs plus, while GOP Thugs played with the Diebold computers & the ballots in the back room. You are incorrect, Mr. Condit. I was a poll watcher at the Iowa straw poll and I watched as the ballots were unloaded from the machines and I personally escorted the ballots to the counting room. Joe Becker, the campaign's chief legal counsel, was present in the room as the ballots were handled. A hand recount of each ballot was not performed, but I can tell you from observing people's clothing, stickers, etc, that the ratios we received were about right.

There's a lot of noise about corruption at the Iowa Straw poll (justifiably so given what the elites have done in the past), but I went to Ames to vote for Paul. I was there. The results seemed proportional to my casual observation of the event. We did not have the largest crowd.

It didn't help that the Ron Paul tent didn't even have stickers for people to put on their shirts - but Paul did have a larger crowd than both Huckabee and Brownback, -- and our suspicion is that he came in second, not 5th. But we'll never know, as the ballots were hidden, then destroyed.

Dear Charlie -- Iowa Straw Poll is all hand counts and in the open -- the best election event in the nation as far as I know. We just must be there to watch the count and report it to the internet. In NH there are just optical scanners, and NH law says they must used hand marked paper ballots. More on this in my about to be released video on the details of NH. After that, it's all secret computer counts.
