I've had my say. That bastard was fired, rightly so, and I believe that the victims will have their justice, if not in a criminal court, then certainly in a civil court.

I feel sad for them and their suffering, but I hope that if something good can come out of this, is that people realize that there is more to life than football programs and legacies, that moral responsibility extends beyond legal requirements, and that protecting the most vulnerable in our society is what counts.

Did he keep his mouth shut and never went to the police keeping the outrage in the "family" ie Penn state officials and then he is rewarded for his playing ball by now getting a full time coaching job? Or Paterno blows Sandusky's perverted sexual conduct off, does everything he can to sweep it under the rug for the sake of not only the school's football program by for his legacy as well to avoid any scandal getting out. If you belive the sworn statements of the grad student then you got to believe he told Paterno he saw his friend and asst. coach Sandusky second only in authority to JoePa butt fucking a 10 year boy in the showers on campus. This gets watered down to just "some horsing around" by the time the university president gets told. Like most people I can connect the dots. Can you? Clearly Paterno is either running interference for his friend Sandusky.

Two more weeks pass, then he's told Sandusky's keys were taken away and that 2nd mile was notified. Later the Grand Jury heard Curly testify that the grad student had told them he witnessed some inappropriate conduct or activity that made him uncomfortable. At no time are Penn state higher ups, or the campus, local or state police

The Grand Jury found the 28 year old grad student testimony highly credible, when he said he saw Sandusky having anal intercourse with a 10 year boy in the showers. A day passes. He phones JoePa, then meets him the next day. Another day passes. Paterno commands his superior, the athletic director to his home and tells him he heard Sandusky was "fondling or doing something of a sexual nature to a young boy". Another week and a half passes
