I'm not sure. I didn't know he was the Maytag repair man, and that he was from Dayton, OH. Pretty cool, RIP.

He was the replacement Maytag Man after the original actor died.

Jesse White was the original Maytag Repairman. Portrayed him for 21 years. Gordon Jump did succeed White in 1988, but it was due to White's retirement, not his death. White died in 1997.
