I thought this one was the worst of the series, I was disapointed in this game. KOK2001 had personal signature moves for expample roburto duran had hands of stone: you could not block his punches for 10 sec., evander holyfield had invinciblity: you could not hurt him for 10sec. ray robinson had flurry: he would throw around 10 punches very fast, larry holmes had send out the dogs: which was three stiff jabs etc. They need to bring thse back.

I had KK 2001 on PSX and absolutely loved it! When I got this I thought it was utter trash and traded it in on the very same day I bought it, I believe!! My favorite boxing games thus far are FNR4, KK 2001, Mike Tyson's Punch Out!, and Victorious Boxers 1 and 2...

everyone have different opinion, I didnt like the gameplay, game mode is disappointment for me and footwork is too slow. Anyway I got £40 back ager ago and I gonna buy Operation Flashpoint Rising Dragon. Boxing is all about footwork, unique skills, different style of fight. I realise knock out king got very good footwork but all others is terrible I know that.

Knockout Kings 99 for Play Station 1 is just the ultimate boxing game of all time. After this, boxing games turned into virtual shoot em ups. It's slow compared to this but KK99 is a game of strategy and skill and my mate and I who have a Leonard v Hagler duel sequence lasting 97 fights over ten years can't be wrong.

What sets the Knockout King franchise apart from Fight Night franchise is the real time scorecards and the judge actually tells you how he has it round by round, i dunno about everyone else but i dont like waiting until after the fight to see how i did. If anything it's insentive to do better when you have real time scorecards, unlike in Fight Night 1,2,3 believe me i love them all dearly but i bought Knockout kings 2001 for £1.50 and it's never off! bargin ;P
