I feel sad... Gene was an exceptional visionary, optimist and idealist who took his talents and shared with us his vision through Star Trek. Star Trek used to take sci-fi by the horns, and create a world we all would aspire to live in. Star Trek fans know exactly what I am talking about. I am sad because there are no science fiction shows on today, or in the last decade even, that come even close to the truely inspiring shows of Star Trek. Give me back my Star Trek!
FYI !! fellow Star Trek Fans "Star Trek the Exhibit" is coming to the midwest to Louisville Science Center in Kentucky Jan through May 2011. The exhibition features sets, costumes, priceless museum pieces and props from all five Star Trek television series and 11 Star Trek feature films, including the newest blockbuster film. The exhibition opens January 23, 2011
Very cool video. Sad that The government is scaling back NASA right now with the Shuttle program ending and American Astronauts will have to depend upon foreign spacecrafts to take them back and forth to the International Space Station like a taxi service! I don't think Gene would have liked this.
Hi TheChronicOne yes I made this "Gene Roddenberry" presentation. Took 40 hours of searching info to find all the pics . . . Thank You for your comments I am indeed honored . . .
while Gene was writing I was doing some of things his was writing about. I had no degrees in anything. I kept my job by thinking logically. A EG&G rep "asked me to come by the office". EG&G hired for area 51.
Gene's "way of thinking" helped keep a family fed for 32 years, and lived long and prospered.
Gene is best known as a storyteller, and he was. What seems to be overlooked is he was the greatest inadverntant philosopher ever!
Gene developed this way of thinking though the characters Spock,Data,The doctor, and 7 of 9. I have used this "way of thinking" since the sixties and it works well. For you
to use it all you have to do is tell yourself
the truth and base all your decisions on these data. I have worked on spaceships(apollo project, minuteman rockets, atomic subs gps, superconductiv
