"...you have this image in your head of an accordionist plays like an oompahpah band like, doing a polka..." ...where on earth did this oompah/accordion stereotype come from? if you check out alpine folk/pop music on youtube i.e 'Alpenoberkrainer' or such bands, sure they're polkas, but they're extremely energetic with jazzed up melodies and mostly young musicians. so how did this stereotype evolve?

You play good, but I'm sorry, i absolutely don't like digital accordions. So, compliment for you, but not for the instrument. And the sound piano and accordeon in a bach suite, please don't do it again.
