wow this is basically wow lol. Hmm Im kinda glad I quit wow, thinking of getting GW tho cause graphics seem better, and different gameplay (plus no montly fees which killed me after 3 yrs) :)

i play wow, i have always playd wow, and statistically, wow has increased their player base by 5% monthly. do i think its the best mmo out there? certainly is for most people, since its considered an easy mode game. simple and social based gameplay makes it very easy to enjoy. am i going to play warhammer? of course i am. its nice to have a change, but no one needs to start making up facts that wow is losing their business, it really still is crushing competition.. do your research please.

SInce WoW is still a little hype every year they lose around 1/4 of the game then they start making commercials. The reason why the Word WoW always come in a sentence is because people think its a redicilous game, people make their lifes of it. And this Hype is gonna stop when Warhammer is coming! in the meantime i'm gonna play Age of Conan and wait in my chair till Warhammer comes! See you guys there!! ^^

Not really. WoW was great in it's day, yes and it sure did a hell of a job blowing away the competition and setting standards for a time there. However it's going downhill, now... this doesn't mean WoW sucks.. all MMOs reach this phase. It is simply WoW's time to put down the crown for a new game. That doesn't mean War will be the new king though. We'll have to see. But it shows some potential. But then again.. so did Conan...

this game's pvp is bar setting in my opinion if the pvp does live up to the expectation you can guarantee wow will lose alot of players. and yes wow has gone downhill since BC i don't think WOTLK is going to change it much.

dont u get any instant shots? don u always have to stop and cast? how about snares or sprint? someting to get distance...

On the classes we seen, they all had sprint. Everything that was instant cast, or crowd control oriented had a pretty serious recast, so you can't spam 'em. Need to really use 'em with some strategy. As for the stop and cast, for casters yes, archers have a skirmisher stance that allows them to run and shoot, but at a loss for damage and range.

Oh and not sure when archers get the ability to skirmish. The guys said they noticed it on their level 20+ characters for the scenarios.

Well I have three answers for you.

unlike other games 100% of the game is online, and unlike other games the more people on a server the better, like 10000 on a server at a time, which equals a higher upkeep cost on the servers

unlike all other types of games they provide content patches new items quests zones. at regular intervals which costs money to pay the staff

while 15$/month might seem high I get more entertainment for my money on mmos than with almost any other form of entertainment

for example, crappy private wow servers are extremely slow and the owners paid high prices for the servers ranging from $1000 to $10,000 or even more

so they'll have enough money to add more stuff to patches, advertisements, and not to mention, they donate money to good causes like to doctor's to find cure for diseases and cancer, but as for WOW, #1 reason why i quit was cause all my money went towards there riches and there advertisements. Blizzard thinks of nothing but themselves, while EA mythic is actually doing something good with there money.

We totally missed your guildies at Origins. I would have loved to chat with 'em. We have 178 registered (still a long ways from launch) and 3 of the 178 are guild leaders from other games that will most likely be bringing their guildies to WarMongers as well.

I anticipate hitting about 400 shortly after launch...divided between the 2 guilds (we run both an Order and a Destruction guild)hopefully we'll have between 30-50 on at any given time per side.

Yeah, we're right about where I figured we'd be in numbers at the start of the guild. We screen hardcore, but not in a elitist fashion. There's something special about each WarMonger and it usually starts with upping their meds.

But yeah, we have rejected roughly 600+ apps since we started taking 'em, but we've got a seriously tight knit family that would follow my orders to the letter. Gonna make for an interesting game I think.
