I can truly say this game really changed my life. Epic moments, epic story, epic characters, epic childhood/youth moments. I don't think the final fantasy franchise will be ever be able to give birth to any episode as epic as this one anymore, hardly tried with FFX, but the magic is gone. Do you even know what I do, to give this FFVIII magic alive? This OST is one of my all-time favourite , yet the one I least listen to. I don't know want this magic to fade away.

I love this song, I love this game, I love the transformation of Squall (a character who is, in the beginning at least, very similar to me, personality-wise) from a secluded loner to a considerate lover. The song and the game hold a standard of beauty far beyond any game I have played before. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a love story, who knows. The only game that stands on equal grounds with this one is Crisis Core. (Wait, another love story? I guess I AM a sucker for a great love story.)
