  • I thought about it the other day!! I was like, " I KNOW WHY THEY CHOSE THE FOUR-BEAT RHYTHM IN THE THEME!!! IT'S BECAUSE OF THE MASTER!!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha Yes, I noticed it :) I'm also a geek of the highest order :) Wait, maybe it's the other way around, the master's four beat rhythm was because of the theme. there we go. • I would LOVE a copy of the mp3 for this! (Just the music part if you could) I am compiling myself a collection. :)

Love the TARDIS sound effect btw! x

  • Many thanks!

  • hahah made the dematerializing tardis sound

  • I believe the original sound was made by scraping on a metal cable, which is kind of close to a uke string!

  • It's even closer than you think - it was done with a key on a low piano string - the ones that are wrapped in additional wires. :)

So it's really no wonder that scraping on another musical instrument's string sounds *so* similar. :)

Well done, Sir! :) Love the suits!

  • Heh. Got that wire wound low G, eh? Love the outfits, too...not many men can carry off a decorative vegetable.

  • Tru dat! thanks

  • wat

  • If ur a geek if teh highest order then you must be a allmighty geek lord10 where I am a geek lord 5

  • Well, with that YT name, you may be a few notches higher! Thanks!

  • Well Hello Tom Baker

  • I actually cant remember the chords. Em is in there somewhere. Thanks

  • It's basically just E then G the whole time. Except for the bridge, where it goes G, D, G... C, G, C, G, D.... Then goes back to the song.

  • Comment removed

  • That is really cool.

I'm trying to work out how to play the theme on a concertina (has to be a TImelord intrument Its hexagonol and has buttons. lol!)

  • ROTFL, Yeah this rocks! Tom Baker never sounded so good! I like the costumes, woot! 5 stars.

  • Rocking! Thanks!

  • did you know that the TARDIS sound was created by dragging keys over piano strings?

  • I did! That's what gave me the idea to use the uke strings.

  • hey, how did you make the fourth and fifth costumes?

  • My aunt knitted the scarf, my mom made the Davidson shirt, the Davidson coat was my graduation gift (tailored!) and I forgot to wear the cricket sweater in the video!! :O

  • That was so cool guys. Well done. :-)

  • Yup, That was kinda the point. That is why he died.. erm.. did not regenerate. He could not escape the Doctor. Not even when executing a perfect master plan.

  • Oh.. and one sweet version of the theme song.

I'm a fan to. Us continentals are allowe do be also.. I hope?

  • You have truly outdone yourself. Multi-tracking, intercutting shots, special effects. Wow.

  • And costumes. Don't forget the costumes! I didn't think I'd get any more use out of them after 1988. Or fit in them!!

Speaking of said instrument, I bought one the other day! It's an Ohana Tenor, I believe. I should get it in about a week. I can't wait!

  • Great choice! I love the 2 Ohanas I own. Enjoy!

  • The Tardis engine sound alone is enough to cement ukisociety's place in YouTube ukulele legend.

  • Cool! Send me the url to that! :D

I stuck the mic inside the ukulele to get some resonance. Thank you!

I tried to work this song out for the uke, but failed. Nice.
