I had this one, hate the shaking on the road the goose neck is to long that's why it shake so much, hate it looks cheap when shaking and annoying too, get one with a plastic arm or goose neck, if you have a old dirty car this is ok but if you have a Lexus or Acura I'm saying NO it's really looks very cheap

Hey Mike, you can compensate for the iPhone/iPod Touch being off centered by adjusting the Flex arm, that's what I do on my Windshield Mount. It works great for me that way.

Great review, this too answered most of my questions on this product. For example, I didn't know the device came with velcro stickies to let you mount directly to your dash. I don't think the Kensington site mentions this. But does that mean you can't rotate your iPhone horizontally or vertically?

Also you complained about the coarse adjustments being too wide. Couldn't you have straightened it out perfectly by bending the articulating arm?

You may not be able to test this, but how does it do in cold temperatures? I live into Vermont and it get's down to -30 degrees. My DSLR vacuum suction cup mount has issues in that weather.

great review. for a gps mount its not expensive at all. looks really sturdy and I like that you can your iphone in the mount with a case.

Hi mike,Yeh that look's like a good piece of kit there,A hell of a lot cheaper option for a car mount than getting the tomtom mount,sort of give's you a different choice to choose from,Thank's for the great review BTW :-)

Great review mike. I had that mount also but didn't like the play it had either. Now I see that Kensington has a new mount endorsed by Navigon that's also a vent mount, and amplifies the iPhone's volume x2!!
