@kiwieata Well, it goes from from G-flat major in the happy sounding verse to E-flat minor for the sad chorus... which makes perfect sense since they have a harmonic relationship. Rivers has always been a very informed musician and composer. The other post might have meant to say "chord change", because there are some sweet ones... especially the solo which has yet another great set of changes! The entire chord progession for this song is lifted directly from "Gigantic." The only difference is that Weezer plays with their guitars tunes down a half-step, and the Pixies had two extra chords:

World Has Turned: G, D, B-flat, C

Gigantic: G, D-E, B-flat, C-D

Just start singing the chorus of one song over the chorus of the other one, and it's obvious that (whether intentionally or not) Rivers really lifted most of this song from the Pixies.
