  • I am crazy about Jethro Tull (I finally saw them live in 2005 - almost died of ecstasy). But this particular song is specially moving to me. It is both rousing and yet, pensive, even contemplative. 'so slip the chain and I'm off again. You'll find me everywhere 'cos I'm a Rover'...and the music at 2:15 for about 30 secs is just unforgettable. one of Ian A. and co.'s many masterpieces. Wow. Thanks for post

  • Love this song.

  • Ian Anderson forever!

  • Heavy horses forever!

  • Second best song on the album, behind the title track Heavy Horses. Third best, probably "Moths".

  • @TheFrickinPope IMO the top three on Heavy Horses

    1. Rover

    2. Acres Wild

    3. Heavy Horses

  • @fantom58 Actually I misspoke

    1. Rover

    2. Acres Wild

    3. One Brown Mouse (Heavy Horses would be 4th).

  • Se supone que youtube es para videos...

  • @ilcastigliani pues nada, busca una versión en directo de esta canción

  • Ian is the best ever!

  • ever played live?

  • thank you mr. aqualung, i like your music. ode to you and the world

  • One of my favourite Tull tracks, great stuff.

  • Nice to hear while traveling around the globe, or even in outer space. Anywhere a person can go in the physical world or within the imagination.

  • Nice to hear in a Range Rover !

  • JETHRO TULL FOREVER!

  • It's nice. To let everyone who THE MAN is. A video would be nice, but it's nice to let everyone know who THE MAN is.

  • Great stuff!

  • Fucking ahead of their time.

  • great song, thanks for uploading

  • Unforgotten.

Warm thanks to Mr István Götzinger who introduced me to listen this music in 1977.

I have been loving it since then.

  • Ian was never in better voice than on Heavy Horses. Such a shame he needed a throat operation due to vocal cord damage a few years later. His voice will never be quite the same, but thank the Lord we have his best work recorded for our continued pleasure and that of future generations. Long Live Tull!

  • @BillySeagull his voice was quite hoarse (pardon the pun and spelling) on this album..IMO (great album by the way) I never heard about throat operation you are talking about

  • aswomeness has been unleashed, this makes porn look like somthing i do in the toilet

  • "Serving some higher purpose" anagram-ciphers to "Hush GP/DoD2 & spin emerges is rover".

  • I love the 'Heavy Horses' album, some great songs. Amazing really, as in 1978, a lot of the bands of the Tull generation were really running out of steam and producing some awful stuff. This is quality though

  • my absolute favorite Tull song. PEFECTLY constructed music. Geniuses the lot of them

  • thanks for the heavy horses album, one of best

  • so gay this isnt on lime wire!

  • go buy HEAVY HORSES its the only proper way...its like $7

  • @jstarang1 ok thanks man :)

  • @halohump899 no your gay

  • @Knight664 your gay as fuck

  • Ian is THE songwriter. Great music... so beautiful!

  • one of my favourite Tull songs!!

  • As the "mom" of 4 rescued dogs, and having had beloved dogs all my life, I think this should be the theme song of The Humane Society.

  • Great song, great album, I wish everybody had it on vinyl as I do, because

from that it sounds really "awesome" , as everybody comments nowadays

  • @leganewu Igot it on vinyl but it was a second hand record.Supposing the first owner played it 1 mill times and then my million, that makes ... a (almost) broken vinyl.

  • I haven't heard this song in awhile!! I just remember how much I loved (LOVE) it!!

  • the Heavy Horses album it is one of the best

  • love the setting in Heavy Horses. The album is beautiful!

  • Great song. I'm going to record a cover of it I think. I'll use a little more drums, and I think a rickenbacker electric 12 here and there.

And i need to capo at third fret rather than second to help match my voice.

  • please, if you recor the cover and you upload it, tell me, I'd really like to listen to it =)

  • I will. I was just trying the guitar parts. Man they're hard! It will take a good bit of practice, and a lot of tracks to record it.

  • @leswatts1

    Any luck with that cover?

  • @leswatts1 your cover probably sucks ass :)

  • @leswatts1 could you please be so kind as to direct me to where you got the tabs/cords?

  • @leswatts1 still waiting bitch

  • Thanks for uploading the Heavy Horses album. It's one of their best.
