Hey guys, im looking at getting a 250x, but i dont know if itd be too underpowered. i ride lots of trails and stuff mostly not the track, but i love how the 250r is able to wheelie no problem. is the 250x like it? thanks!

Im 15, i currently have a honda crf150r but its too small for me. I was having a look at this bike and i just wanted to know is it a good change from the 150r. i want a bike that still has power and this one seems to be quite slow... Please reply

@motorboy121 truly, I say 250x because it has more bottom end and I race with mine on the track and I love it, and I got on a 250r and rode it on the track, when you take the jumps, its always either too hard or too soft and on the 250x it's just right

ok im a beginner to dirt biking (i can ride really smooth on the street and stuff but I havent done much trail riding) I've only ridden my friends dirt bikes tho (Crf150f) im finally looking into buying my own bike, Im 5"8 and 120 pounds (yea im a skinny bastard) Im 16 so im still growing tho I plan on buying the bike in about 3 - 4 months after winter, so my question is, do you think this bike is good for me or would a crf230f be better.

@xXThexWolfxPackXx turns out mine in a 04 if your lookin for three grand then an o4 is perfect my dad picked up mine for 3200 and no problem your welcome but be a little careful on the throttle...the thing is faster than it appears

@hellclan10011 Wow haha yea I can get a new 09 for 3 grand, also we found a guy that teaches riding lessons that has a 230 that he would let me ride if i took a lesson from him so I could get a feel for the bike to see if I like it :) were u pleased with that bike?

Im looking for a 250X too, but one thing i could never find out about is the headlight. is it ok for at night in the woods or would it be worth it to get a better one?. what kind of bulb does it have? I am on a ttr230 and is the wrf250 better. im just woundering. im going with honda anyways!

@ttr7rider Yea man Im 15 and about 5'9 and I found a 2004 crf250x and it looks sick! Im on a 2000 TTR125 now and I don't really like it because its a little small for me but its a very good bike. Go Honda!

@HondaRyder85 well try the wr250f, its the same set up at the yz but its a little down tuned and it comes with all the trail acessories as this here crf250x. very easy bikes to get along with.

no offense wes2705, but I have an 04 CRF250X and its just about the best bike ever. Fast, reliable, amazing handling, and awesome looks. It has the headlight so if you ever wanna go for a ride at night you can or if you are stuck in a trail when its getting dark. I've had mine for 6 years now...and ive done all the maintence and everything and NEVER had any problems besides the usual. You must be riding it extremely hard or in horrible conditions.

Hey ive been wanting a CRF250X for a long time but i keep hearing alot of stories like wes's and i didnt want a bike that needs THAT much maintenance. Do you think that it all depends on how hard you ride? Im just 16 so i dont get as much time to ride as id like but i go almost every weekend in the summer.

My 2007 crf250x has been nothing more than an unreliable nightmare,i am a qualified motor mechanic and 35 yo trail rider not racer,firstly lets praise the bikes handling its great and the steering bike is quite comfortable and steering it through the bush is great,however the reliabilty is not great its almost laughable,valves well i dont really care about the valve issues its an easy fix,but 3 gearbox rebuilds ,2 stators,i countershaft stripped,2 camshafts,5 piston kits and 2 timing chains

most of the cali offroad and mx bikes have to be really modded to be normal. i just buy my bikes in nv

please note to people that watch this in the us. unless you get a cali model of this bike the normal us crf250x is not so stuffed up. ie no extra thing on the end of the exhaust and this bike defantly will rip in stock usa form.
