  • Would Kohut really use these technical terms with his patient? Like Mis-attunement, Self-cohesion, and Inner self-object? Especially if part of who he's addressing is the wounded child in the client?

  • I just love this film :) I got nothing else to say

  • I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE THT THIS VIDEO PRODUCED. THEIR IS A SERIOUS NEED IN OUR SOCIETY TO TAKE SELF PSYCHOLOGY TO THE LAY PERSON AND TO MAKE IT LESS MYSTERIOUS. THEIR WILL ALWAYS BE A NEED FOR PSYCHOLOGIES BUT UNTIL WE MAKE SELF PSYCHOLOGY MORE GENERALLY UNDERSTOOD THEN WE WILL NEVER CREATE THE MASS INTEREST IN THE SUBJECT THAT IS NECESSARY FOR MORE PEOPLE TO GET THE HELP THEY NEED.

  • While I get the dramatization's point and purpose, I must say that the wooden line readings distract from this very purpose. And while they need not be Oscar-worthy, these performances risk taking that fact a bit far in the other direction.

  • What an excellent comparison of the different theories. It illuminates the progress that has been made in the field very simply.

  • great illustration

  • This is a really great illustration of how other therapists might have handled Dora (Freud's famous case of an incomplete analysis)...this would make a great resource for psychology departments because it really brings the story of Dora and also of the other main players in psychoanalytic history alive - its kind of like seeing shakespere made into a movie...where it can be a "dry read" - brought to life, it's just easier to wrap your head around.
