My aunt and uncle used to send these to my sisters and I when we were young. I had David and Goliath, my younger sister had Daniel and the Lion's Den and my older sister had the Nativity. Man these were fun to watch-mostly because they were unintentionally funny! Nice job.
They used to make us watch this in Catholic School. (I swear you can learn more about the Bible from a few minuts on the internet than from 6 years at Catholic School)
Read this article , google search this article : Problems with a Global Flood, 2nd edition. Education can free the mind from the destructive cult of fundametalism.
Thats what a lot of people are told, but do anyone really know that they thought the whole world was mesopotamia? what about Isaiah 40:22? Gen 1:1? Their are structures like the Pryamids in egypt, central america, stone hendge, easter island? the mayan had a better calendar then we have today? Take that into consideration, they were not naive then. thats fact. Plus there are over 300 flood stories worldwide, Atlantis being more popular is one example. All of them very similar. the word is true
How is it unlikely? if you cancel out the flood, there leaves a "gap theory", a time for men to migrate around the planet. Gen 11:9 the Lord scatter them. We can't pick and choose what and what not to believe. you do, or you don't.
it is written,
Behold I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the EARTH, to destroy ALL FLESH-everything that is in the earth shall die. -Gen 6:17
As the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be- Matthew 24:37
Earth- in Hebrew, eretz, which means "land", if you recall, when the bible was written, there was no concept of a globe, so eretz did not meant the whole earth.
you raise a good point with Matthew, however, as with most things Jesus said (indeed, all rabbis) how do we not know that this was figurative?
All flesh, is all flesh that have the breath of life in them. He that sits upon the circle of the earth(land) Isaiah 40:22 You don't think the God that made the Heavens and the earth(land) wasn't telling Noah the truth, that he would destroy the earth(land) with a flood? That would make God a liar, and his word not true. Why would Noah need 2 of every kind in the ark if it was a local flood? We don't know if the earth was different from today, more than likely it was.
Of course he told Noah the truth- but you make the mistake of projecting YOUR experience and knowledge of the earth into Noah's time.
an exegetical study of Noah is the best way to go about it. This way, we do not place our pre-concieved ideas into an era that did not have them.
The earth WAS different- if not physically, then at the very least in their own minds. There is nothing wrong with this view. It doesn't insinuate that God is a liar. It points out that God acted according to the era.
it is written- Every Living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the GROUND, Both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only REMAINED alive, and they that were WITH HIM IN THE ARK.- Genesis 7:23
Just like everyone who doesn't accept Christ will die in their sins- Matthew 8:24
God is outside of era, he knows how big the earth is. His word is true- john 17:17
This argument is going nowhere. The Bible's words only encourage me further in my conviction.
7:23 does nothing to dissuay me. I am not scared of the bible and I know what it says. You seem to believe that I am not familiar with it, and must point these thinsg out. I am familiar with th ebible, I am a student of it at college.
I accept Christ- I will not die when my faith is in Him, and I stand for him.
I never thought this day would come. But at least I'm not the only one who fondly remembers that series! And for Xero: Turner animation was heavily involved in this just as they were in Captain Planet. Common creative control = similar visual style.
LMAO this is so incredibly funny! My sister and I can't stop laughing. We've been watching The Greatest Adventure series ever since we were little. I've just recently lost the tapes so it's funny I found this.
Haha, I love how you say "ark", and the dove was hilarious (does he say "heck yes" or "I guess"?). Thanks for posting!

Also don't know if you saw our "Moses" spoof...supposedly it's even funnier than this one. The dove says, "Heck Yes!" A Napoleon Dynamite quote, I'm afraid. :)
omgosh. I watched these ALL the time when I was little! actually, I thought of these the other day and proceeded to watch them, then searched on YouTube if there were any sweet vids on them...thank goodness I found yours! I hope your church has another summer camp so that you make more. xD (yes, thats a hint.)

I'm a Christian and i don't believe in a Global flood.
Treemeadow 3 years ago
Most Christians dont , but nearly half do in the USA.
flyingscience 3 years ago
its a little bit silly, considering scientific evidence.
Christians like myself shouldn't be afraid of science, occasioanlly its faulty, but generally, its reliable.
Treemeadow 3 years ago
sounds pretty lukewarm.
btuck2 3 years ago
Hang on buddy- there is NOTHING lukewarm about science. In fact, if anything, it makes me more hot for God than anything.
Remember that the flood happened in a time when people thought "The WHole World" meant mesopotamia, which is actually quite isolated.
Treemeadow 3 years ago
Thats what a lot of people are told, but do anyone really know that they thought the whole world was mesopotamia? what about Isaiah 40:22? Gen 1:1? All of them very similar. the word is true
btuck2 3 years ago
But it is unlikely they all occured at one time- because only 8 people were said to re-populate the world.
I don't doubt the Great Flood happened everywhere, just not all at once.
It is not lukewarm to think such things. It is only lukewarm to not live life totally for Christ.
Treemeadow 3 years ago
How is it unlikely? if you cancel out the flood, there leaves a "gap theory", a time for men to migrate around the planet. Gen 11:9 the Lord scatter them. We can't pick and choose what and what not to believe. you do, or you don't.
