  • airbuses are ugly and sound even worse.

  • @char1eston Positively, certainly and exactly like your mother.

  • We have alot of Lufthansa A340s come in and out of Charlotte.

  • Airbus sucks anyway!

  • @ScarletandGrey4ever Please articulate.

  • @999lifegoes Boeing and Lockheed all the way!

  • @ScarletandGrey4ever Why? This is just immature,if you ask any ATP I guarantee you that he would say they are both airplanes and they sure as hell fly! Idiot.

  • airplanes

  • i love all your videos, definatly subscribing! :D

  • i like this plane, the only airbus acactually like

  • lufthansa rulz

  • NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Danke schön! Very nice!!

  • why is it that every airbus plane i hear sounds like the engines are grinding against the engine casing , but i dont hear that on boeing planes ? .

  • @yoitzvic

    engine afterburner

  • @yoitzvic Not sure why you think that, seeing that the aircraft manufactures like Airbus and Boeing do not make the engines. The engines are made by companies like Rolls Royce, General Electric and Pratt & Whitney, so the sound of the engine has nothing to do with the make of the airplane its attached to. For example a Boeing 757 with Rolls Royce RB211 engines will sound pretty much the same as a Lockheed L1011 with the same engine.

  • @robertkurt2 yeah i know it has nothing to do with the planes themselves , i guess that the engines are made differently for boeing and airbus . i wish i could do a comparison video that basically shows that the engines used on boeing planes don't sound like their grinding against the casing of the engine unlike the airbus planes which do sound like their grinding against the casing

  • @yoitzvic I have never noticed the sound difference myself, mind you I wasn't looking for it. I'll have to watch a few different vids to see if I can hear it.

I am sure though that the grinding sound you hear isn't the engine actually grinding against the casing but it would be interesting to find out why there is a difference.

  • @afgrocks123 well sed

  • impresionante este video, saludos desde mexico

  • now that is a smooth takeoff

  • Cant beat Iberiaa

  • @MrLOLGUY11 of course, it can

  • @ecrdab747 No it cant iberia is the best

  • Very nice

  • i love this spot, saw the a380 from this spot, looouud! :)

  • @foshizmaniz21 It is hilarious how you refuse to actually ASK THE REAL COMPANY. Obviously asking the actual people who set the salaries is more correct than some little Wikipedia page where anyone can edit anything they want on it. Seriously, go to the LufthansaGlobal channel and ask them-they will tell you exactly what they told me.

Research isn't just little internet searches which are usually not true. You gotta ask the actual companies.

  • @DNETV All I'm saying is that I read a press release from the CEO of Lufthansa and he explained himself the payscales. Not that difficult.

  • @foshizmaniz21 But you were looking at some website-you can't always trust the internet. I asked the actual people who created the salary themselves, and they answered averagely around 300,000 to 400,000 dollars a year, but it depends on how much of a high rank the pilot has.

Here's a comparison to help you understand-let's say that I paid $40 for a product, and someone else just lies to you and says that I said I paid $20, but I am the one who bought it and knows.

    It's the same thing.

  • @DNETV I can see your point. But all I'm saying is that a starting out pilot will NOT earn 300K a year. It's not only ridiculous, It's impossible. Lufthansa may be a billion dollar industry, but if I know my basic business equities I know for a fact that they would not pay 300K p.a to a starting out F/O

  • @foshizmaniz21 You must have misunderstood me-I never said that they started out making 300k a year, I said that as they progress and get higher in rank they start to make those salaries, and that is the average for higher ranks. The highest rank makes about 400k they said.

Also, aside from this point, I would like to apologize for the kind of harsh comments in my reply-something else was bothering and I guess I kind of took it out on you. It's weird, I usually don't do that.

  • @DNETV I appreciate your apology, I am too. I don't usually either! But I see where your coming from now, I guess that sounds about right in their eventual salaries. I misunderstood.

  • @foshizmaniz21 Glad this ended peacefully. I probably should have clarified myself more in the beginning.

  • I wonder what kind of face you WOULD of had if it was a Airbus A380. Hmm oh the wonders.

  • The best airline in the world and the most beautiful plane ever!

  • @alonsit That´s true!

  • Takeoff roll is sooo slow!!! must be my grandma flying

  • tha best

  • what was the medical emergency?

  • @QueenBling1 Does it matter ?

  • @TheCCofficial yes it does.

  • Do you need 20/20 vision? What collage do you need to take to be a pilot? What type of degree do u need? What subject do you need to be good at. And finally, how much do you get paid? lol.... sry for the questions. I love this vid. ( im 14 and i want to be a pilot) please answer these question please... i will be thankful)

  • @snipingace34 hi there,20/20 vision is required to fly Fighter Aircraft,There are many training institutes around the world,,colleges combine Pilot training with university degree,,this takes a while, you get your licence in 12 months with a Good Flying Club,,You have to be good at mathematics as you make manyt Calculations while flying,,,You many get a non-science degree but mathematics plays a vital role in Flying i am a student pilot, research and speak to some professionals

  • @snipingace34 ,,also get some training materials and C.Ds for the Private Pilot Training course as it covers all the foundation subjects for flying and make sure to get***'FROM THE GROUND UP'*** text Book,,It is the Holy book for the Student Pilots and a Must Read,,,take career counselling if possible to do a self analysis with a professional(if taking a career councelling) to shape up for the course,,you still have the time for research,,i decided to be a pilot when i was 27,,cheers

  • To: gloomyoutlook: WTF !

    Retard

  • LOL sounds like a toy

  • Wow, those engines looks like my hairdryer...

  • @elyasf

These are basically the same engines used on the 737, just a bit wider and more powerful. So, can 2 of your hairdryers lift a 737?

  • @elyasf They are

  • beautiful

  • beatiful

  • Dear lord the A340 is choking a cat inside those engines! Awful sound really....

  • Poor A340! She sounds like she's in pain after getting into that fight with that 777...

Maybe that's why she's screaming, lol.

  • pretty light fuel load for an A340.. hence the short ground roll, low flap setting, rapid (for an A340) climb

  • Why is a A343 in Manchester?

  • Thats typical Airbus engine sound.

  • Those CFM-56 gives me headache. It screams like a girl

  • Great footage!

  • why is that plane so long?

  • lufthansa a340-600 much better, :D

  • @sam9524 its too quiet :( lol

  • @xrulezx8zx du ou fly with lufthansa not with TAM?

  • this plane could be the 747-400's cousin , cause the wings have the same design have 4 engines the only thing that make a difference is the cabin that have no the same design

  • @SuperAlexD13 totally bullshit... the 744 got different engines and the wings are longer

  • @Phil1480 he only said that they LOOK alike, not that they ARE the same.

    read my friend, read

  • @SuperAlexD13 Well the wings of the A340 are more similar to the B777 when it comes to airfoil profile

  • I'll be leaving Brazil and going to Germany by Lufthansa? Do you guys recommend it?

  • @xrulezx8zx Why not? They are a good airline.

  • haha, Lufthansa is the best bro. Even greater than Emirates

  • I flew with this plane from Munich to NY JFK 2 weeks ago :), It was nice, but not as a Jumbo..

  • this is the most failure airplane made by airbus. boeing makes the best plane all time. and the engine sounds crap!

  • Yeah, I'm going to fly with it soon from Toronto to Frankfurt.

  • I love those close up's! :)

  • Those engines look absolutely tiny compared to the 777 series

  • the perfect sound!

  • the A340, one of my All-Time favorite wings in the sky that is a SMOOTH jet to fly on

  • when the a340-300 takes off with maimum payload it has the lowest rate of climb of all aircrafts i know.

  • @elyasf I agree. Not much thrust in those engines.. and the sound anything but nice in my opinion.

  • the a340 is the best box around for long journeys ... look at that, it is amazing

  • that is the best box around for long flights ... even better than the a380 (have flown in both ones). The A340 is unbeatable.

  • My cousin lives in Giessen...

  • Star Alliance :)

  • My GOD she's beautiful! O_O

  • @TwitterJayFmOnline Yes but as with many pretty "birds", she's all show and little go :) Every departure is an adventure!

  • 0:01 to skip advertisement

  • this engine noise is just like music for me

  • @sherifbatawy same here :)

  • Sehr schön! Vielen Dank dafür!!

  • how come it diverted 2 man i thought it would go 2 shannon or dublin

  • why is an a340 from LH in Manchester?

  • @HamburgAirport read the description!!!

  • Beauty in aviation is a strange thing. Physically this is an impressive airplane - but we know it's underpowered and fuel hungry and comes up short even against its near twin, the A330. So is it beautiful? No. Yes. No. Yes...

  • Sounded like a full throttle takeoff. Wasn't even a half way spool up first.

  • Why the hell was this in manchester? LOL

  • @AmazinJase Read the description, fag.

  • Awesome sound at spool up!

  • this is the second 747 four engine best friend after A380

  • There is nothing like a Lufthansa take off!

  • the crazy saw sound of those CFM56ers

  • Lufthansa is one of the best airlines ever

  • @DNETV And its neiboring country Poland! :D well almost there :)

  • @DNETV nazis are losers

  • @DNETV y

  • @sertox12345 There are several reasons:

    1. Most airlines would have either a ton of routes but not so good rating, service, cabin, etc, or not so many routes but an excellent service, cabin, etc. Lufthansa is the only one that has both-4 star incredible airline which is one of the biggest in the world.

    2. They carry some of the best rated aircrafts made, such as the 747-400, A380-800, etc.

(This comment continues to the next one above-PLEASE READ BOTH IN ORDER)

  • @DNETV What about Qantas? Singapore Airlines? United Airlines? British Airways? All brilliant airlines, and all airlines I mentioned have all those accolades that you mentioned. Please check your facts before you state them in a public domain.

  • Comment removed

  • @foshizmaniz21 First of all, I was only stating MY opinion, and I have the right to an opinion. Second of all, Lufthansa is the 3rd largest airline in THE WORLD. Every other airline that you mentioned is not as large as Lufthansa. But me saying that Lufthansa is the best is only my opinion. Just like everyone else, I have a right to one.

  • @sertox12345 (THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF THE PREVIOUS COMMENT, BECAUSE I RAN OUT OF CHARACTERS)

    3. They have so many connections-cityline, regional, private jet service, Italia, domestic, international, and cargo.

    4. The service is fantastic-I have talked to their youtube channel quite a lot, and they are the only ones who actually answer all of your questions from their youtube channel/

    5. Their pilots get excellent deals-when they first start out, they make $300,000 a year, then $400,000 py

  • @DNETV No pilot in the world, Maybe senior check captains or captains, make more than 250K a year. You pulled that out of your ass

  • Comment removed

  • @foshizmaniz21 HA! You REALLY need to do some aviation research for once! I asked the Lufthansa youtube channel myself to get that information! Hahaha! Here's how you get the information:

Type in LufthansaGlobal on youtube search, then click on their channel, then ask the question "How much money does a Lufthansa pilot make in a year?" and wait for the response.

Seriously, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT AND DO RESEARCH!

  • @DNETV Buddy the internet can be wrong in fact. I am a pilot for cathay pacific, I've worked for captains that have been with the company for 30 years, they're earning the ridiculous salaries that you've said yourself. AND I have done my research, I know what I'm talking about.

  • @foshizmaniz21 But have you worked for Lufthansa? No. My information is ABSOLUTELY NOT any old web post that someone puts out, it's WHAT LUFTHANSA SAID THEMSELVES. I'm pretty sure you, some guy who doesn't even know for sure what it is and is probably not even a pilot at all, (who by the way doesn't do enough research) doesn't know as much as the ACTUAL COMPANY WHO SET THEIR SALARIES THEMSELVES! I am seriously laughing at your argument.

  • i remeba my first flight with lufthansa loved it :D

  • My Fourth Favourite Engine!

  • how do you mean with "Last A340 I saw here was in April, 2006"? do you mean the last lufthansa a340. or even a a340 by other airlines?

  • Hey Airbus after the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics are over i demand to be a pilot of one of these Airbus A340s please and thank you.

  • That airplane is screaming like a girl :D

  • Thats because t has the POWER!

  • 200/300 Series Power? my friend 500/600 is power

  • Yeah I know!

  • @Blkeyedwolf the plane screams like robot girls :3.

  • @Blkeyedwolf Sounds like my Cousin :S

  • @PLaYwivFiReBrUv is ur cousin gay?

  • @PLaYwivFiReBrUv Ohh, ok :D

  • So I get it if it was a ¨DIVERSION ¨ then its ok to fly an 340 from Munich to Manchester, hahahaha..

  • I guess A330 Competes with B767

  • Comment removed

  • @moneytalks1911 The A330 and A340 were designed and built at the same time, just like the 757 and 767, the A340 is in fact larger than the A330 (except the A340-200, which instead had the length/weight reduced to increase range).

  • @jakeyb17 i meant aisles

  • B767s and B757S came out in mid 80's and a330 & a340 came in the early 90's. a340-200 it was almost a test as only 16 were built!!!!!!!!

  • It{s like flying the 777-200 from Singapore to Japan , to much aircraft for so short route

  • @mz854f it says in the description it was a medical diversion... it doesnt fly to machester to germany with a340, i think lufthansa use a320s or a319s..

  • I've always loved watching the 340 take off.

    So smooth and so graceful.

  • does this compete with the 777 or 747. because the a340-600 is quite big

  • Yeah, it's a competitor to the 777.

  • dont you love the sound of the engines??

  • He must have been at 400 ft before putting the gear up!!!!!!!!

  • i love lufthansa

  • the buz saw during takeoff is when air slams thorugh the fam in the engines and acoustic energy it creates so itmakes that sound

  • Are the sound waves breaking the sound barrier or just being broken?

  • beautiful aircraft.

  • Sounds like happy.

  • LOL, i know someone who was on that LH flight. haha. awesome

  • great vid love the 340! I'v seen it land in Toronto. What type of MED emergency it had to be bad enough for the plane to divert?

  • you gotta love that sound :D

  • why does the plane make that buzz saw noise during takeoff?

  • Typical from airbus.

  • Typical Airbus Engines.CFM56-5C

  • Big bird!

    Nice bird!

But your gears are critical =(

  • Imagine an a340 with 4 ge90's, that's beyond amazing.

  • that would b awesome, but the wings would have 2 be extremely solid and strong

  • Look at that pig, it looks so awkward on the ground. Get her in the air!

  • I LOVE THE A340 It Is Very Nice But Did Anyone Notice That The Pilot Is A Little Bit Crazy Lool xD But Awesome Video I Wish I Can Go To A A340 I Saw 2 Of Them Today I Saw The Lufthansa & Egypt Air The A340's Sound Is Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Video Man :D

  • what a beautiful jumbo jet plane

  • what an awesome plane. the a340 is nicer then the Boeing 777

  • what an awesome plane

    that engine sound is amazing

  • now you see them reguly cos of VS

  • Sweet growl from those engines
