Im looking for a new board I do 50% Jibbing and 50% slashing groomers and ripping the hardpack.I have a 148 skate banana which i like but i was looking for something a little bit different maybe a hair firmer. GNu riders choice, Box scratcher, Trs, Mc KInk. Any suggestions I am leaning toward the mc kink. PLLLEEEAAASSSSEEEE HELLLPPPP.
@reidrr3Get the Burtner's Box Scratcher BTX or TRS with C2BTX or the EC2 Attack Banana- the attack banana has a little less camber.. the Gnu riders choice is the same as your Skate banana with a little different sidcut.
carves well, magne traction is legit, does well in powder (no need to set back if it isn't more than 6").
However, the board is not built well. All Lib Techs are not built well. It lack s a fully wrapped metal edge. If you run into a rock, and it hits that part where the metal edge stops, you risk some serious damage. In that area where the edge ends, the board is starting to pull apart. I have about 30 days on this board, no off trail days (I have another board for that).
@pineappaloupe (cont). Talk to any shop that rents these out as part of their rental fleet. They fall apart. the board will last another 30+ day season. But my never summer (with 100 days and way more abuse from side country riding, have literally ridden over rocks) will last a few more years. Buy the boards end of season.
ok so im looking for a new board. i ride almost every weekend all over the north east. I ride like 40 percent rails and 60 percent finding pow and other fun natural features all over the mountain. im riding a skate banana now and its a little unstable at high speeds is this a good new board for me. If not wat would be good.
@reidrr2 this board is plenty stable at high speed. not as stable as a board that is set back and less rockered, but i never felt unstable. I have felt more stable on my 161 Never Summer. But I have also never had more confidence in the hold of my heel edge than on a TRS. magnetraction is legit.
@thehouseboardshop, BTW , Im debating between the Mark Landvik Phoneix Series (the one with the cobras) OR the Travis Rice C2 BTX Horsepower board. (Truly cant decide, from what i said below, what do you guys think? Your friend, Aaron.
@thehouseboardshop, Hi , my name is Aaron, i have Snowboarded since i was 4 years old, This year im gonna sell my Arbor Snowboard, and get a Lib Tech snowboard. I was wondering what you would suggest. I am an expert rider, and love doing the Double black runs, or going threw the trees, I like having good carving, but am starting to get into the terrainparks nowadays. What board would you suggest would Fit my style. Where you can go big, but still have a poppy, fexable feel????
@madcowmenton Don't know... we're working on getting someone to do the reviews. But you should definitely get that board! The C2 profile won two Good Wood awards this year and mixed camber has proven to honestly be the best of both worlds. It's Banana rocker between the feet and camber under foot and out. That plus Magne-Traction makes that board is unstoppable. Great stuff
would have been easy to look that up, but no, its not a true twin. its slightly directional, but its not far off enough to worry you about riding it switch.
just got a 59 and it is fucking sick. quite stiff but presses good and pops like a kangaroo. ridden it 2 times already carves awesome, don't believe the shit about btx not being able to carve, bullshit. recommend this board if you like to rip, best stick i've had in 14 yrs.
Jus got this board, and busted my knee on a box my first tine riding it... :(

this is a sick park board. i can press on rails, kill some 50 foot jumps , and shred the pipe easily.

Board looks very promising. What length would you recommend for a 6'3", 200 lbs, 12 size boots intermediate rider? Isn't the 167 too long?
I also thought about shorter/narrower one with additional palmer's power links... Does that make any sense? :-)
