Great layout one of the best home layout I seen. I had the same ideal you had on the railroad ties to put under the tubular track could not count how many ties I rip out of 2x4. The ties look great under the track. I am building a layout in a 27x27 room. I have not got much done on it yet it is one level. If you have time check out my channel and if you like sub me.
@2344F3 Thank you for the wonderful comment. The layout is 22 1/2 x 14 at the yard area and around 6 1/2' in the 2 elevated center loops. I have been wanting to do an update for quite some time because there is now a long via duct over the yard but I just haven't had time as of late to get done what I want. It is coming though. @joelschl Than you for the very nice comments. The layout has seen some changes in the past few weeks. Hopefully I will have an update for all to see. Work has hampered my building efforts this past summer but I have finally gotten some time to do some things.
Wonderful layout and filmed nicely. Even the music was enjoyable. It was helpful to see the transition from program to reality. Elveating the cityscape makes it look taller and larger. Perhaps you could put a subway under it with a couple cutout sections for viewing as it goes underground and then returns to street level. There are plenty of variety in the "zones" you can play in.Please do another video soon , maybe show some of your construction techigues. You rock man !
@norm108 Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. I have been so busy this summer with work that I haven't had time to work on my layout as much as I would like. There have been a few changes that I think viewers will really like. I have thought about the subway idea. I am not sure if I could incorporate that into the layout or not, but who knows. There will be a new video coming soon I hope. I do have a few new pieces to share as well. God bless all of you.
Awesome layout. I love the O Gauge tubular track, the great City buildings, the cars, trucks, the school bus, and the incredible freight yard. Can't wait to see it finished.
@JJosephS1 Thanks so much for the wonderful comments. I personally like the 027 tubular over the plastic looking fast track. I did cut and stain close to 1500 ties, lol. My only wish is that the freight yard was bigger. The entire yard only holds about 12 or 13 cars. It is progressing slowly but surely. A new video will be in the works soon. I am sure the viewers will be pleasantly surprised with the look of it now.
@fmartino100 Thanks for the nice comment. The edit software I used is Pinnacle Studio 14. It is superb stuff and very user friendly. The only draw back is that it is a resource hog. You really need a fast chip and good memory to drive this stuff. I have been puddling along on the layout here when I have had time. Working long hrs here, sometimes I dont feel like working on it, lol. I do hope to have an update in the coming weeks. I just got my 700E so that will definitely be featured ;)

I just wanted to return the favor here and share my on going project. The RR Track software was invaluable in helping me design this while my basement was under re-model.
