Put a Beretta "D" hammer spring/mainspring in it with 2 coils clipped off and you will LOVE the DA and SA trigger feel. Makes it like a completely new gun, heavy trigger pull no more. 100% reliable mod with Beretta parts and only costs $5...you can't go wrong.
I have a problem with my new Beretta 92fs i just bought. when i put the mag in and shoot the first shot the next shot doesnt go in the chamber 50% of the time. sometimes it goes in crooked so the slide cant push it into the chamber. also sometimes the shell ejecting gets caught in between the slide and the chamber. im sure that the mag is all the way in.... please help!
@weaties21195 Does it happen with every mag you've tried? Could be a magazine issue, but it sounds to me like you're limp-wristing the gun, especially if you're getting stovepipes.
I owned two of these, a Springfield XDm .40, and a Kimber 1911 TLE 2. The Kimber was my favorite, admittedly. But then I got disabled and weight started to really matter. I LOVED my berettas, but had to sell my ENTIRE gun collection! :( due to medical bills, since this wonderful country (and it is wonderful) thinks public health care isn't a possiblity, but I digress. Anyway, I got a GLock 19 2/3rds paid for and my buddy loaned me his M9 replica, just a 92fs with different markings.
the cool thing is, he is thinking of selling it. He has a big collection and owns a SIG P226 and a bunch of other nice rifles, but wants a carry gun. I'm getting the G19 for carry and defense, and fun. But holding onto his Beretta for the past few days and the next few months is really tempting me to want to make a deal with him again. If I get it, it'll be the third Beretta that I've owned. I couldn't recommend this gun enough! Perfect for a full-sizer. That said, go with what feels right to u
I like the end part how you explain the scenario with a kid and the plastic gun. I can see why the 92fs has replaced the 1911 as the standard issue sidearm for U.S forces
@gtvapsamtik they added an accessory rail for lights or a laser, they added an internal recoil buffer and a rounded off trigger guard. those are the major differences. the original 92fs doesn't have those.
Question do you have any revolvers review or you don't like revolvers, if so what's your favorite revolver, I love the 357 and 44 magnum, also great review, I've never own a beretta but would to purchase one in the future, I heard to Beretta Storm is an excellent gun.
I like the Beretta 92fs because of it's accuracy, handling and magazine capacity, but it just doesn't have the stopping power to penetrate body armor. And nowadays criminals are more well equipped with automatic guns and bulletproof vests. The 92fs is still a great handgun.
Ok I have a ?. I bought me a used like new today and you pull the hammer back and llok down in there where the firing pin is and there is a spot on the left hand side looks like its broke . is it made that why...some one look at there 92fs and se if yours is like that.thanks
"Modifications for this gun: there's a few things you can do with it, there's not a shitload but there's a few things." Way to keep it real. Nice review. I'm looking to purchase this gun and I'm trying to learn as much as possible. On to part 2 for me.
id say for the price this is about the best handgun u can get, easy to use, super accurate, tough as shit, cheap, easy to find ammo, easy to carry, etc. i mean absolutly everything u want in a handgun is right here
I shot this today, and all I could do was make gaping holes in the target. :( I would have liked to count my bullet holes but the gun is just too accurate. :D
THANKS A LOT!!! I've been considering buying this gun but didn't know much about it. All my friends are glocks, glocks and more glocks. I love glocks, but wanted something different, always found the Beretta to be a beautiful gun. This video answered a few questions and was very insightful, thank you.
you couldn't be more wrong, Berretta USA doesn't supply the steel frame model (known as the 92 steel I), you can see it on the international page. All the current production 92FS are aluminum frame

some of us are rather meticulous about our guns and rather than wiping them down completely afterward, he chooses to wear gloves. nothin wrong with that.
Yes I have shot many of the CZ's and yes I also agree the CZ 75 has a great grip also, along with the P01 and even the little RAMI feels pretty good in the hands
@kickedintheballs2000 i love your gun i dont know much about guns but i have always found this gun apeeling, i was wondering if this would be a good gun to carry with you for safety, becouse ive always heard that the 9mm is weak but i still find it apeeling would you recomend this gun
@gertheurckmans I took my uncle to the range today. He hadn't shot a handgun in like, twenty years. He held a few different 9mm firearms and he immediately said the Beretta grip was the nicest. Shooting it myself, I enjoyed it very much.
I've been watching this video for a while now and i have to give a shot out to you and ruger six for your vast knowledge of this firearm. I recently had the oppurtunity to purchase this piece for 595.00 with all the fixings. Got to admit that it is damn comfortable in my hand and it looks gorgeous. Once again thanks for making this purchase that much easier. Keep up the good work
the taurus pt92 on display at (store unnamed) was broken. the slide wouldnt lock back with an empty mag anymore. the slide lock would pop out enough to miss the slide entirely. if a gun breaks from just being on display at a store, i dont want it!
"Oh shit" barrier.....fkin hilarious. My bro bought a 92FS today....I wasn't at the counter with him when he checked this piece out and I didn't like it at first (main cus of the exposed barrel look) but youre making it grow on me.
As always your great at this dude. Another nice vid. Love my 92fs. One question though, Right now its all I have to Conceal Carry. I'm waiting for my Bersa 380cc to come in. Do you recommend a holster or type of way to carry. Bear in mind I'm a skinny dude.
Yeah, that's true. I got one more year to go before I'm old enough to get a pistol. At this point, I'm too poor to get a most of the name brands. I'll probably go with a Rossi .38
ok so if you have a mag inserted and you chamber a round, the hammer goes to single action, if you release the saftery from fire to safe, the weapon will not fire?
No matter how proficient you are with arms, don't demonstrate it loaded. Some stupid kid is going to do the same, and tear his hand apart! Great Vid tho.
GREAT video. Im in the USAF security forces and we carry this weapon. I showed this video to some new officers instead of our older training video and they loved it. Keep up the GREAT work.
The Beretta performs magnificently IF KEPT CLEAN. But the open slide system is a dirt magnet in combat situations. It's going to jam on you unless you keep the dirt out, which is pretty tough when you're rolling around in the dust. Not the best combat pistol out there.
then why did the military buy over 400,000 of them for the new standard military issue pistol, and iraqi government bought about 20,000. I see what your saying but just wanted to let you know...
iv just started to shoot handguns and am looking to get a 9mm. is this a good starting gun? or should i look elsewhere? i manly want it for target/comp shooting
all right... one word. couple letters, and some numbers. But still. Same gun, same schematics, few upgrades, and cheaper. Taurus actually uses a Beretta factory to make it so... why spend the extra couple hundred? I dunno, I bet a Beretta enthusiast has a reason though.
Some 92fs models do comes with Hogue grips but not the Hogue grips with the finger groves.
Due to its all metal frame the 92fs does have a little more felt recoil and then say a glock 17 (Which is also in 9mm) but I would say it has much less recoil then a Glock 23 (Glock 23's have a pretty snapy recoil to me)
Beretta 92fs are pretty pricey and the way gun prices are right now I would say its a fare price (Not good but not bad either ) is it a Stainless model?
Yes, that price is for the stainless model. The blued 92fs is going for $639 at another local gun shop. I live in northern California, so prices EVERYwhere in this state are going to be higher than in most states (in addition to tax, fees, etc.).
Yeah, the first handgun I ever held and shot was a Beretta and it felt and shot great (for me, anyway). On the other hand, the glock 23, my agency issue firearm, took LOTS of practice for me to get used to.
I think the DA/SA trigger is great for practical use even though it's not so great at the range. Defensive shootings are typically at such close ranges that the DA throwing you off a bit on the first shot won't really matter, but if the crook happens to be farther away you probably have the half second it takes to pull back the hammer and make a cleaner shot over distance. The reason I like the DA first shot is that it's much harder to have a negligent discharge under stress.
I say that since they are both outstanding handguns to get the one you find to be the most comfortable in your hand. I find the beretta to be more comfortable personally.
I do love the Beretta! my only problem is that after shooting (only) 100 rounds through each, I found the Beretta to be much less accurate. Would this be a rarity?
Well from my personal experience I am more accurate with the Beretta. I am able to connect the holes at 25 yards. With the glock I can still get them inside the X ring at 25 yards but the grip angle of the glock throws off my aim a little because it forces me to rotate my wrist downwards to fire it comfortably.
lol its cool man , there not Latex gloves there just simply white glove I got when I worked for GM. ( They were always free and I liked them so I stock up of them ).
I use them in many of my videos simply cause my hands are cold and they are great gloves for wearing in winter , yet still be able to do fine task ( unlike them Big winter type gloves ) + they help keep the oil's from your hands off the firearm ( Which is always good )
you need to make a video reviewing the beretta Px4 Storm Please and thank you! i love your video on the bersa, it is what made me buy one myself

No matter how proficient you are with arms, don't demonstrate it loaded. Some stupid kid is going to do the same, and tear his hand apart! Great Vid tho.

I agree , I never review a firearm when its loaded.
Thanks for watching man

GREAT video. Im in the USAF security forces and we carry this weapon. I showed this video to some new officers instead of our older training video and they loved it. Keep up the GREAT work.

Great review... I like the 92. Despite it being huge and clunky, it shoots great for big hands.

The Beretta performs magnificently IF KEPT CLEAN. But the open slide system is a dirt magnet in combat situations. It's going to jam on you unless you keep the dirt out, which is pretty tough when you're rolling around in the dust. Not the best combat pistol out there.
BatoNY65 3 years ago
then why did the military buy over 400,000 of them for the new standard military issue pistol, and iraqi government bought about 20,000. I see what your saying but just wanted to let you know...
if you want my resources just ask :)

two words, Taurus PT-92.
all right... one word. couple letters, and some numbers. But still. Same gun, same schematics, few upgrades, and cheaper. Taurus actually uses a Beretta factory to make it so... why spend the extra couple hundred? I dunno, I bet a Beretta enthusiast has a reason though.

Thanks for the great review. Been eying a 92FS for a while now- think I'm gonna pick one up.

Hey kicked, another great video review! Thanks for posting. :) A couple of questions, though:
1) Are those Hogue-style finger grips standard on the inox 92 fs?
2) How is the recoil on this baby? How does it compare with a Glock 23, let's say?
3) My local shop is selling it for about $649--is that a good price?
Zeitgeist74 3 years ago
Thanks man.
My 2 cents
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
Thanks for your quick reply, kicked.

So what do you like better your glock or berreta?
CMLovejoy 3 years ago
Sorry man but I have to go with the glock. I have also been much better at shooting the glock in competition then I am the beretta.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
I was debating getting a 92fs or glock 19, I love the beautiful looks of the Beretta, but the reliability of the Glock. Which do you recommend?
chinchman99 3 years ago
Well I'm a big Glock fan so I would say glock but to each their own.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
I say that since they are both outstanding handguns to get the one you find to be the most comfortable in your hand. I find the beretta to be more comfortable personally.
danedw9113 3 years ago
I also agree , use what works best for you.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
I do love the Beretta! my only problem is that after shooting (only) 100 rounds through each, I found the Beretta to be much less accurate. Would this be a rarity?
chinchman99 3 years ago
Well from my personal experience I am more accurate with the Beretta. I am able to connect the holes at 25 yards. With the glock I can still get them inside the X ring at 25 yards but the grip angle of the glock throws off my aim a little because it forces me to rotate my wrist downwards to fire it comfortably.

Nice review of the great features of this pistol.

im not trying to make fun or sound like a dick i was just curious
Are you wearing latex gloves... if so is that cause you dont wanna smudge it?
sorry just curious lol keep doing what your doing great reviews man
shammok 3 years ago
lol its cool man , there not Latex gloves there just simply white glove I got when I worked for GM. ( They were always free and I liked them so I stock up of them ).
I use them in many of my videos simply cause my hands are cold and they are great gloves for wearing in winter , yet still be able to do fine task ( unlike them Big winter type gloves ) + they help keep the oil's from your hands off the firearm ( Which is always good )
Thanks for the support man
