@ecszone You may be able to, but you should always check the setup with a watts up meter to be sure. Right now I run 1 T-28 with a p10 and stock prop.
Hey,robjinhouston, hand launching this plane stock w/1800 lipo was easy!thanks for your advice,i love this plane, and it handles wind great!under hand launch is is to do:thanks :>)
Your Welcome! Yep plenty of power in it's stock form. The T-28 is still one of my favorites, but my Mini Pulse XT is starting to take over #1. Love that balsa plane. Check it out in my latest vid. Rob
not at all. no for hand launch. With the eflite power 10 and 11X8 prop, I give it full throttle and full up and throw it at about 70 degrees, and it almost touches the ground before it gets enough airspeed
Well I think you need to work on your technique. Might be tossing it to steep. Most of the time I don't even use full power. I don't use any up elevator as the plane will tend to stay on the path I give it with neutral surfaces. I don't toss the stock planes at such a steep angle either. Search Youtube for Parkzone T-28 Fennec and channel Darklightrebel. He has several vids hand lauching a stock T-28 (except 2200lipo). He's an excellent flyer to.
Thanks so much for this info,I checked out darklightrebel, what a great pilot! I will try handlaunch this weekend, and now that i seen his paint job,wow thats next on my todo list.
Just about as easy I would guess. The T-28 has plenty of power so the underhand seems to work best. At first I did the over hand. Underhand makes sure you don't toss it down. Just full throttle and toss. I have 4 T-28's, 2 with no gear at all, 1 with gear, one is still stock with gear and I've only flown it once. Thanks, Rob
can you put a power 10 on the stock ESC? maybe with a certain prop to keep it safe, or just knowing not to be wide open more than x amount of time?
