  • Fabulous!!!!! Agreed!

  • O tempora! O mores! If only that respect and chivalry existed today... Impress your gratitude for chivalry upon your brothers, and your sisters-in-law will be forever indebted!!

  • If only that respect and chivalry existed today... Impress your gratitude for chivalry upon your brothers, and your sisters-in-law will be forever indebted!!

  • Bravo! Excellent choices all around, and the soundtrack is one of my faves. :D

  • It's always the same problem, good women that don't find good men, and good men that don't find good women.

Can I give a little counsel?

1 - Search for those rare men/women in the right places, it's difficult to find gentlemens/ladies in raves, hippie parties, etc..

2 - "If I don't find the right ones, I will go with the wrong ones!" it's because that attitude that you remain alone or in horrible company. People that wants old-fashionable love hate those who give up their heart! Have patience

  • @iamzafkiel Sound advice. :) I heartily agree.

  • Some of my favorite men and one of my favorite scores .... lovley :)

  • How'd you know to add my cupid? lol... there's a lot of yummy in this vid, lol.

  • please can some one please let me know the names of these movies i would love to watch them. Thanx

  • hehehehehehe

  • my favourite feel-good video. we are gonna need a new one though - with added downton abbey gentlemen ;)

  • What is the name of the guy at around 1.26 with black hat on? I know but can't remember. Thanks

  • @theart1rm Alan Rickman :)

  • yumyumyumyumyum. jus'sayin'.

  • I must say, these are all excellent gentlemen. Kudos. I would have added Captain Wentworth though.

  • @atduhe He's in the Return of the Gents one. ;)

  • Darcy, Gilbert, Knightley, Brandon, Edward, Raoul, Bingley, GILBERT AGAIN, KNIGHTLEY AGAIN, BRANDON AGAIN AND EDWARD AGAIN OH AND RAOUL this makes me weak at the knees :)

  • @LiltedLullaby :) I have to be careful watching it without enough sustenance in my system so as not to risk a swoon. ;) Glad you enjoyed it!

  • @LiltedLullaby sooo feel the same way...

  • Gilbert Blythe <3

  • Gilbert is my favorite. I adoooorrreee him! <3

  • i love the music you used. what is the title?

  • @vonKyle777 Opening Title to the movie Dear Frankie. :)

  • @bethiemw I was just thinking...is this Dear Frankie?!?!

  • what is the movie at 15-20?

  • @poppy52422

That would be Anne of Green Gables. The lad there looking cheeky is Gilbert Blythe. :)

  • If you could tell me who is at 1:37 that would be greatly appreciated! Great movie!

  • @monheartscraig That would be Raoul from the 2004 Phantom of the Opera musical. ^.^ Thank you!

  • @bethiemw thank you!

  • I share your point of view and regret the lack of such men nowadays. I really enjoyed watching your video clip. Another male character I am very fond of is Ralph Fiennes. What about you ? Anyway, thank you for your clip.

  • @Belgianladyful Why thank you! :) Aaah, yes, he's an amazing actor; played in some excellent roles! I agree. And thanks for watching!

  • this is a true video in jane eyre the lead male is amazeing but not a jent but the men on this video are very good men but some of my favorite pirod drama men are not good men

but that is not the point of the video thanks it made me think although i am confused

  • Just as lovely as the one dedicated to the ladies! Curse the culture for making chivalry a lost art!

  • Who is it on 0:25? Please tell me what character or movie is it???? Thank you!

  • @nenaviju2 That would be Jeremy Northam in his exquisite portrayal of Mr. Knightley of Donwell Abbey. From the 1995 version of Emma. ;)

  • @bethiemw Thank you very much! I'd like to see this movie now!

  • @nenaviju2

Oh, you should! It's wonderful! I can't even count how many times I've plopped in the disc when I need a pick-me-up. I wouldn't say it's the closest to the book, but I prefer it ten times over the newest Masterpiece Theater version. *whispers* Their Mr. Knightley was too short. ;) Among other things.

  • Divinely beautiful!!!

  • You missed Rupert Penry-Jones in Persuasion!! Or even Ciaran Hinds in the older Persuasion.

  • my favourite here is certainly Mr. Thornton, though Mr. Darcy and Gilbert Blythe were brilliant as well.

    But no Mr. Hamleys? lol

  • Love this ur just missin Mr. Darcy in the newest version of pride and prejudice he's my man! lol

  • Mmm, but I left him out on purpose. Sorry, but I'm really not happy with the newer period films that have been coming out. I think they need more history and less drama.

  • @bethiemw Very much agreed. :) They seem to miss the subtleties of historical circumstance that give the drama its... authenticity? What I'm trying to say is that many of the recent adaptations are exciting to watch, but they skim over so much depth!

  • Exactly my point. Subtlety is a really beautiful thing when played well. Most modern movies are just too flashy for me, even the period films. There's something so emotional, dare I say intoxicating over a single meaningful glance or a soft brush of the hand/glove. That's the kind of thing that excites me. :)

  • @bethiemw : Whoa, I just love the way you write. Your writing style and grammar and word-usage are just so...uhm...so grammatically old fashioned and so exact.

  • @missun1995 Aw, that's so sweet of you! Thank you very much! That's really encouraging since I do write as a passion. I can't say it's for a living because I procure no monetary gain from it. But it's what I absolutely love to do. :) If you're interested in stories, I do have a collection available on Fiction Press. Wow, I feel like I'm using shameless self promotion here... but words just aren't enjoyable unless shared. ;)

  • I'd like to post a video response to this? :)

  • Certainly. I'm sure it will be relevant and nice. :)

  • I tried to but it said "you cannot post video responses to this video" :S

  • Who is the fellow at 1:50? He is beautiful!

  • That, my dear is the lovely Ioan Gruffud playing Horatio Hornblower from the magnificent Hornblower series. He's pure love in that. You should watch the films. ;)

  • @jangmiflower : its Horatio Hornblower

  • For all the aspiring gentlemen out there, I highly recommend the book "The Art of Manliness." My father bought if for me for my last birthday--not really sure what kind of message that sends--but nonetheless! It's a great read, and has a great deal of interesting and helpful information.

  • You could put a title names on pics. Not everyone knows every movie on planet :)

    whos on 0:41 ; 0:45 ; 0:58 ; 2:08 ?

oh. and i so much enjoyed Amazing Grace. Pure gold :)

  • I kind of hate to ruin the simplicity of the video with the colorful annotations. But I do have the list in the description. They're listed in order, so once you get to a person you've already seen it starts over. Sorry, I know it's more complicated that way.

Anyway, 0:41 - Raoul de Chagny (Phantom of the Opera) ; 0:45 - Mr. John Thornton (North and South 2004) WATCH IT!! ;) ; 0:58 - Mr. Charles Bingley (Pride and Prejudice 1995) ; 2:08 - Mr. Knightley -Emma w/Jeremy Northam and Gwenyth Paltrow

  • you said : 0:41 - Raoul de Chagny (Phantom of the Opera)

    >> Which year.? 1998? 1992? 1943? :)

  • You know, I had the year in the message and it got too long. :P But it's 2004. The newest film adaptation.

  • i def. want to see th come-back of proper british gents.....and the classes would be a good thing....but start them young and catch the guys before they have the chance to become NEDs/chavs! seriously, the people at my school at the moment need lessons in class! * and also bring back that stiff-upper-lip britishness...we're going to the dogs!

  • i was actually thinking about when there young get to them early and show them how to grow up into gentelmen and ladies :)

  • Ah, understood. Good idea, then. :)

  • i think they should implament a manditory program in school to teach men to be gentlemen and women to be ladies it would make things more civilized i think

  • Not to be cynical or anything, but I'm not sure it would do any good. If people aren't inclined to be gentlemen and ladies, making them take classes isn't going to help. The ones who want to act properly would attend, and the ones who were forced would just riot during class. Or sleep. I want to attend a British finishing school. I'll ask about them when I visit London next summer!

  • have you ever watched the show 'Ladette to Lady'? Sometimes the girls go on thinking they are wasting their time, but after-woods they see why it is better to behave like a lady...

  • Ah, I have! I was so mad at them because it's one of my dreams to attend a finishing school, and they got to go for their bad behavior. *sigh* :P

  • yeah I plan on going to June Dally Watkins....... some day XD

the only thing I don't like about the show ladette to lady is that they make them pluck birds and kill the lobsters they are going to eat.... like... how is that lady-like? do you think princess Dianna would have ever done something like that? was she any less of a lady for it? and they also get them to cook brilliant dinners that are designed for expert chefs. that's a little bit too much to expect...

  • Well, that's true, but then again I'd like to cultivate those skills. I mean, what happened to Victorian ladies who lost their money and maids? They had to pitch in and do the work. Like in North and South. Margaret was ironing curtains so Mr. Thorton would feel at home. I'd be happy just learning anything like that. :) I love a challenge.

  • there's nothing wrong with learning the skills to do the work, but we aren't living the Victorian age anymore, and I don't think being taught how to kill a lobster is necessary. if u were ever in a struggling position where u had to kill one, u just would. I don't think u'd stand there looking at it wishing you'd taken classes on how to do it.

Also the teachers on that show expected too much too early from the girls. They aren't master-chefs...

  • Oh they new how to write books back them. And yes the lack of gentlemen is upseting.

  • I think I'm one of the few girls who ended up being blessed with a lot of really good guy friends that could actually be called gentlemen. And I'm so happy for it. They set the bar for what I expect from a guy and now that I know that gentlemen do exist, I will settle for nothing less. I hope you all find real gentlemen. They do exist, don't give up. Just wait for 'him'. A real gentlemen is worth it. :D

  • Good for you! I have quite a few good gentlemen friends, and it really is a blessing. They're pretty much all "taken" so no Mr. Darcy or Knightley for me yet. But I'm happy being single for now, anyway. :) I'm like Emma; I lack inducement to matrimony at present. If a Knightley popped up I might change my mind, though. Heehee.

  • Most of my gentlemen friends are single, but they are waiting for the right time and girl. Which just makes them all the more admirable. I'm happy to be single too. I'd love to get married, but I'm just a senior in high school, so obviously not yet. Haha....I'm waiting for the right time and guy. I try not to think about it, but I'd be super lucky if any of my gentlemen friends were waiting for me.

  • Omg I've wanted to marry Gilbert Blythe since I was 7! It's so sad he's not real!

  • Cravats definitely need to make a comeback haha :D

I could listen to this music for hours :)

  • I saw somewhere that they are!! But I think it's only the high end fashion trends. I don't know who will be man enough to follow. ;)

  • Unfortunately, all gentlemen died during the Napoleonic wars.

  • hmm... I would say MOST died then.....

but I think they were eternally wiped out after WWII...

  • share your view of lackage of gentlemen

  • honey i feel your pain, its a shame and a great loss to women that we don't have such men anymore, they were so gentle, caring, kind, considerate, not to mentioned attentive

  • i wish men were like gentlemen in our modern erm. shame really they rnt :(

loved the vid especially richard armitage and ioan gruffudd, :P

  • ahahahah..sometimes i could say..men are humorless poppycocks! in my limited experience..oh my gosh...is that you elizabeth bennet??? in one way or another...shes right...no offence meant...peace..

  • u forgot to add the scarlett pimpernel to this XD

  • Yes, but I have Percy in the other one I made. ;)

  • name song please? very beauty :)

  • Opening Credits of Dear Frankie.

  • I thought it was only me in mourning (because of the lack of old fashioned genteman today). So glad to see other people feel the same way as me. Its very upsetting. I pity the "modern" men and women of today; no values . great Tribute by the way.

  • Thank you; and I totally agree. I'm with you!! :)

  • i absolutely, totally agree with what you have stated..nowadays..its just..uuugggghhhhhh..totally diferent..where are the gents! for goodness sake..i cant even find one..or maybe..just maybe..they are somewhere else..hiding..or waiting for the perfect timing..LOL..cross your fingers..

  • Or maybe I have them all in my closet and I'm too selfish to share!!! No, I jest. :P If I had more than one, I would only need one, so I would share the rest. Heehee.

  • ahhahaa...i hope youll gonna send me one...ahahahah...ill be waiting....LOL

  • ;) ... heh heh.

  • hey!!! i think we share the same interest....just like books...classical music..old films...blablabla...which makes other people say..uggghhh..it bores me..ahahahaahah...ive been scanning through your channel a while ago....and i could tell that youre a girl with character and sense compared to other teenagers!!!

  • Wow, yeah, I see by your channel that we do have a lot of the same interests! Like that Josh Groban. ;) Ah me! *swoons* I mean, that's just one example. Yes, I love classical literature and past eras! I love history and art and music! I mean real music, too. These days you have to make the distinction. ;) Thank you for the compliment. It's hard being a teenager today and not getting the same bad rep as the general population of teens. :/

  • yaahhh!!!!ahahahah josh groban....he makes me forget my name!!!!LOL ..hes such an adorable man...i like his voice...and he has a face like an angel..gosh...oh gosh..such a bonus...im giving compliments to those who desrves it! and youre one of them!

  • continue to explore the world of music...real music that make sense..(meaningful lyrics and all)....and remember...love being you...the hell they care! if you love classical songs and literature..go for it..it simply means that youre a woman with content...always remember BRAIN IS MORE DEADLY THAN A PAIR OF STILLETOS...

  • Okay, I loved that quote so much I added it to my special document full of amazing quotes. ;) Thanks.

  • Send me one too :P Make sure he is like Knightley XD or Hornblower!

  • Sure thing! ;D

  • I also am a huge fangirl of Horatio's friend Archie Kennedy XD he is so gorgeous and has such the cutest way of being brave.

  • I used to try forcing myself to dream about Archie. ;) It worked some of the time.

  • aw! It's VERY easy for me! :P I'm always writing myself into Hornblower scripts that involve Archie (well not literally - I just imagine it) :D

I am actually writing a story at the moment, and I have based one of the main characters on Archie. Except it is set in 1890.

  • Really? Sweet! Aw, I was going to ask if it was fanfiction... I haven't actually looked up any HH FF yet. That might be an interesting thing to look into. Hmm... Yes, I do read that stuff. ;)

  • whoops, I thought my first comment didn't get posted so I wrote another one, sorry that I repeated myself...

  • No biggie. I have comments requiring approval, so they don't go through until I get a chance to sit down and okay them all. I get a lot of spam on this one, see. Sorry, it's kind of confusing.

  • Aw! Yeah Archie is my new crush. LURV him so much! Can't say I love the actor though, because I haven't actually seen him in anything else... besides, I have made a resolution not to become a fangirl of actors, because later down the track, you always get disappointed in them for one thing or another. So I choose to just like characters they play, because once u know all about them, that's that, they don't change and u'll always be happy XD

  • Exactly! Same with me. I can't say that certain actors don't make me more interested in movies (if Richard Armitage of North and South and Robin Hood BBC plays in something I will watch it for that fact alone; at least for a taste of whether I like it or not) but generally, I stick to character love. <3 xD

  • yeah, actually if a movie with Johnny Depp or Colin Firth came out that would be one of the main reasons I'd watch it, but I'd have to watch trailers and stuff first to see if it really would interest me...

  • Okay, have to say this: Favorite Johnny Depp movie: Benny and Joon. Closely followed by Sweeney Todd. xP

  • Right on! He's my biggest film crush ever.

  • beautiful.. great job, i love men from this era they were waaaaaaaaaaaay gentle and caring i wish i was born at this time .. my favorite characters are ioan gruffudd, jeremy northam and alan rickman :D

  • It´s a very nice video. Thank so much!

  • Thank you for watching/commenting! :)

  • My favourite is Gilberth !!

These stories are so beautiful, I don't know if it's possible to find something like that in the real life :)

  • I think that depends on if you mean to find a guy with a gentleman's virtues and morals, or one who wears the clothes of a gentleman. Either way, it's not impossible. Just difficult.

  • in my opinion, a guys clothes will generally reflect on what kind of a person he is. If he has virtues and morals, his clothes will be the clothes of a gentleman.

But it's also the same with girls. If a girl respects herself and wants a man who will be attracted to her decency and not tartiness, she will dress like a lady.

  • Quite so. :) New line, "So, sir... do you respect yourself (and me) enough to wear this coat and cravat?"

  • haha yeah

you'd think some guys could at least attempt to pull their jeans up a bit higher... the guys at my high school wear them practically to their knees... well... u know what I mean

  • " *mourns the lack of such men today* " Amen

My faves here are Mr. Knightly!!!

    Horatio Hornblower!

Mr. Dacry (however, only as long as he is Played by Colin Firth XD)

    and Gilbert Blythe

  • Horato and Darcy....agreed!!!!!!!!!!! ( i love the other two, as well....but those first two are my favs!)

  • You echo my sentiments exactly. Oh if only such men could be found today. The world would not be in the mess it is if they were and had been in the majority. Decency and fairness and personal honor are so important to happiness.

I have been in love Mr Gruffudd's face since I first saw it and it is so weird to me. I have Welsh blood in my veins could that be it?

  • yes..the simple fact that you have welsh blood coursing through your veins allows you to to be so deeply in love with mr.gruffudd´s face.

  • What's my excuse? I'm part Irish/German/French/Scandanavian!

  • oh i don't know, i don't really buy into the whole ''i'm part french, german, welsh, turkish, italian'' argument. no one is ''purebred'', we're all mixed with something, whether it happened a generation ago or centuries ago.

but..yeah ioan gruffudd is quite the stud

  • I'm not trying to sell a theory; I'm just stating the races that are more prominent in my immediate background history. For example, I know of two great-grandparents who were Irish, and my grandparents are German...etc. Of course I've got a lot of other roots, but those are the ones I know about.

    Indeed. ;)

  • *nods in agreement* Men have lost their pride and convictions, and women their decency and gentleness.

  • hey.

    nice one...

    what's the second picture from??

hmm.... i love jeremy northam and i love pride & prejudice (also the one with matthew macfadyen and keira knightley) and... to be honest, i think only the clothes already make them much more gentleman-like than anyone else... love it!

    :)

  • Thanks.

The second picture is from Anne of Green Gables. ^.^

  • Would you believe this came up in my "recommended for you" section entirely at random? Hee hee, this is what we call a "happy co-oincidence"! ;-D

  • Oh goodness, that's too funny! :D *waves* Hello friend!

  • Isn't it? I nearly giggled aloud when I saw your username as the maker! ;-)

*waves back* Hello back, friend! :-D

  • Raoul, a gentleman? Sink me ! He has most of the flaws of gentlemen without any of their qualitites. He didn't even see Christine when she was dancing in the ballet, but suddenly fell in love with her when she became the Prima Dona. What kind of gentleman is that?

  • Excuse me? Maybe you should count it more gentlemanly that Raoul wasn't interested in ogling all the ballet girls like the vulgar minded managers! Would not that be considered less gentlemanly to do so? I don't understand this constant misconception that Raoul only fell for Christine after she was "popular" or "famous" or the "Prima Donna." I know the film doens't explain very well, but Raoul and Christine had a history. I wouldn't have spotted my first crush in a room full of guys!

  • In my opinion, Raoul did not fall for Christine at all. Did he listen to her when she was afraid ? Did he protect her ? He cried when the Phantom caught him and waited until Christine saved him. Maybe it is your definition of gentry, but it is not mine. He doesn't treat Christine in a very respectful manner and obviously lacks the moral strength of a gentleman. Not to mention his fencing skills...

  • Not to be rude, but I think your opinion lacks evidence to back it up. Were your eyes closed during the entire chapel scene? Did not Raoul, a spoiled, rich vicomte, plunge into the unknown dangers of the opera cellars, risking his life to save the chorus girl turned opera star, who in that society was not an acceptable choice of wife for a vicomte? To question his love is truly unfair. You try protecting someone from a danger you can't even understand. He would have given his life her her...

  • Excuse me: *for her, is that not enough? And guarding her door at night isn't showing his care and protection? It's true, he had trouble giving her the benefit of the doubt when it came to her "Angel of Music" stories, but who wouldn't?? She didn't exactly sound sane.

His fencing skills beat the Phantom, so if you're implying he's a bad swordsman, I guess that makes Erik a worse one.

Moral strength indeed! Maybe he should have knocked her down and cursed for touching his face. o.O

  • I think Raoul is ok. He's not really my personal fave, but The Phantom of the Opera is one of those movies where I actually like the Bad Guy WAY better XD. Personally I saw Raoul as a bit of a sook. I wouldn't say that he didn't know how to be a gentleman though. He did, it just wasn't displayed much in my eyes.

  • I get that. I mean, I reeeeaaally like the Phantom, too. I just think a lot of people bash Raoul without realizing the full weight of his awesome in all the things he had to go through trying to rescue Christine (who he DID love, by the way) from a very scary (albeit sexy) mysterious stalker dude. ;) So I'm not against le Fantome, I just love Raoul too. ^.^

  • I think the character of Raoul on paper is a gentleman, but it was the actor they used that put me off. He is not someone I would be interested in... I don't find him very attractive (lol - that sounds shallow but... it's a movie, he isn't a real person so I am allowed to be :P :D )

So RAOUL is a gentleman, but the actor to me did not have a manner and a way about him the matched the character. But I also thought the character of Raoul was a bit proud.

  • As I jump to his defense... ;) You have to remember he was a viscount. They weren't exactly the most humble of ranks. ;) Considering the times and his position, I think he turned out remarkably well. And yes, I wouldn't mind kissing up to the nobility and dealing with their pride if it meant marry one who could provide me Victorian gowns with CORSETS AND BUSTLES!!! XD Sorry. Got excited there for a second... xP

  • I agree! :D I have read the book too and I still like the Phantom more than Raoul!

  • you and me both :)

  • What a lovely video! I wish to know some men like them... There are very rare today (or maybe I was not enough lucky to meet them^^). I would like to have this kind of dramas in France...

    Thanks for sharing!

  • IOAN!!!! <333 :)

  • I was most pleasantly surprised, too. *smiles*

  • First of all.. thanks for the nice vid! You surely picked some wonderful periods *sigh*. Then just a little reaction to your opinion about the lack of gentlemen these days: I won't say that things were much better in Jane Austen's time. Women had not many rights, and were often forced into a marriage with very ungentlemenlike men. I still believe that there are gentlemen in this time too. But I have to admit that I love perioddrama men! Now I just have to wait for a moderen gentleman ;-). LOL!

  • True. But I think the same discernment should be used today as would have been necessary back then. I mean, having the judgement to know which gentlemen are *real* gentelmen, and won't abuse their power or our trust. I know it wasn't all perfect back then, either--look at Willoughby, for example--but most of the issues are the same. If not more out in the open and blatant today.

  • Agreed . . .but I was thinking, perhaps it all evens out. Sure, women hadn't many rights and were often forced into marriage, but those periods have their good and bad, same as now. And one of those good things is prominently promoted in this video: the old-fashioned gentleman.

    Likewise . . . I'm still waiting too =)

  • I wish men were still like that....alot of men these days lack a sense of honor, dignity, and respect for women most importantly....

  • I totally love the way men were those days!! They were SO MUCH romantic <3

But now a days it's so hard to find any man like that! I just wish I lived in one of Jane Austen's books(:

  • it's not the MEN's fault. It's the "Power"-flower/LADette women & the not-so-innocent kids (underage ppl offering Sex to "PAEDOs") who turned them RUDE, crude, etc. Sum woMEN haveN't learnt 2 say NO like in the comedy GameOn where Samantha Janus played a SEXy girl who didN't realise she didN't have 2sleep with all the men wanting SEX with her. 2DAYs kids watch even more (WEB) porn than their parents b4 them. (Easy)Girls say: _(LEWD) boys pressure us 2do stuff 4them coz they C porn on Internet_

  • I do agree that it's not *entirely* the men's fault, but there's equal blame on both sides. If men are weak and lack morals, they can't blame the women who also lack morals for their own problems. And as for the increase of children being exposed to these things at younger and younger ages, I blame the parents and the declining educational system.

But you can't say the fault lies with JUST the men, or JUST the women. It's pretty much all of society today.

  • I wish men today could be more like the good old gentlemans in the movies. Mutch more romantic, oh how I would love that. :)

  • Just lovely................ :)

  • i liked your video very much.its very comforting.thanks for sharing!!!

  • What is the music title?i love it, it's very soothing. Could you give me link to download it?? ^^

  • It's the opening title song for the movie Dear Frankie. I looked everywhere because a lot of people have requested it, but I can't find the link anymore. I'm sorry. The computer I had the song saved on crashed, so I don't have it myself. I'd suggest just buying the soundtrack. ;)

  • What song is this? It's beautiful!

  • The opening title song to Dear Frankie. I know, I just love it!

  • How is it we all love gentlemen, but there are never any around these days, is it not fashionable or "cool" anymore? :(

    Love the video!

  • I blame modern culture and the decline of morals. :(

    And thank you! :)

  • I so agree on the lack of these men today.. *sigh* Kinda sad really.. Since we can never go back..

  • Yeah, but we *can* stalk the Renaissance Faires. ;) And I think they hold Regency balls in some places, still...

  • Great video! Nice choice of music too!

I love old fashioned gentlemen, there is something so romantic about them. Like bethiemw said they're manly but gentle, you can't help but to fall for them.

  • Agreed. :) Thank you for watching and commenting.

  • Ahh, I see you are a Raoul fan, not for the Phantom. Other than that, I liked it!

  • I'm a fan of the Charles Dance/Kopit Phantom as far as being a perfect gentleman goes. I do love the Phantoms, but Raoul is more in keeping with the role of gentle protector. Especially in the 2004 film. I don't put men who push girls to the ground in my gentlemanly videos.

  • (as the poor young woman places her chin in her hands and gazes at the computer screen...she sighs) What is it ladies?...the soft candle light, the tailored clothing, or the adoring look these men give to their prospective ladies?

  • All of the above, and more! Recently, I've fallen in love with the... carefulness of the gentelmen. If that makes sense. They're manly, but gentle. <3 What's not to adore??

  • Well put...well put ;-)

  • Who's at 0:23?

  • Mr. Knightley from Emma. Played by Jeremy Northam. <3

  • Awesome, I loved this, thank you so much for putting this on youtube!!! I just love this slideshow, and I just love the feeling when I watch a movie with some romantic gentleman *Gilbert Blythe <3* I love movies with old fashioned gentlemen!! I love movies from the 1800's :D (or movies that are showing life from 1800's :)

thank you so much <3 five stars and favorited five times :D

  • You're very kind! Thank you for the comments and ratings. :)

I know how you feel. Warm fuzzies, I sometimes call it. ;)

  • It should be made compulsory for Men to dress up at the very least once a month?

  • Well, I'd be okay with just special occassions. Like graduations, going to a live performance... things like that. I can be a blue jeans kind of girl myself, but I do miss the days where people dressed up to go out in "society."

  • every day every day every day! If I ever get married I'm totally having it themed so I can have an excuse to have everyone dressed like this haha

  • Lovely!!!!

  • Please may I mourn with you?

    :)
