Pepsi didn't want to ban it, but the Catholic church was in such an uproar over the actual music video for the full song, they got scared of possible backlash on themselves and pulled it. I think people were throwing a fit because there is a statue of Jesus in a catholic church but instead of being white he was dipicted as being African American. I also think it was because of her being down on her knees with her dress falling off while "confessing".
@melshecar1713 its just cause of d other video the real video of d song..i guess pepsi didnt want 2 b involved wiv her after the controversy of the music video..hey they r business pll..they didnt want 2 look lyk they wer supportin her lol i think it was a cute commercial tho...
This isn't the banned version of the advert. The banned one had burning crosses and Madonna falling from the sky with a Pepsi can in her hand as in the offical video (but with out the Can of Pepsi in her hand.
Well, the only sick and enervating enough commercial I can think of right now is a "Trolls" commercial, but it's from Chile and a really old one at that and it doesn't seem to be on youtube. it was pretty much a dumb kid sitting on a log singing "Trolls trolls trolls trolls " and then he kinda made farting sounds with his lips... everytime I saw that commercial I felt an incredible urge to reap the kid's head of
@LordMew it has not been banned but withdrawn. Pepsi withdrew the ad after the Like a Prayer video aired. Storm of critics surrounded the song/video and therefore Pepsi got scared and decided to take the ad off the air. Simple.

I honestly don't see why this was banned. The music video for "Like a Prayer" was worse. The video had the burning crosses. This just seems innocent.

@Fire0021 EXACTLY! Read the description. Pepsi banned the commercial because of the music video
