@killerinstinct555 They say on the website, they are standard tactile buttons and the device is connected though a dock connector.

Since there is no standard keyboard-like accessory for dock port and iPhone doesn't support USB host mode, only possibility that comes to mind, the device identifies as a serial port, and they modified some open-source emulator to use a custom serial protocol that they developed for the device.

It's a working prototype. Don't think it's produced.

@tehjow sure it does! icontrolpad is ugly and it sticks out and makes the phone wider so that it wont fit in your pocket but at least it has analogue sticks. this one doesnt have stick but it looks way better.

You'll have to make a thinner version for the iPhone 4, as this would be pretty uncomfortable to use with the iPhone wobbling around inside and fucking up its dock connector.

Awesome work though, I have been waiting for someone to make something like this, maybe you can attract dev attention and get them to adopt support for this in their games. If you need graphic design help for marketing I will help you :)
