  • @jamool2009 if all the proofs for Jesus' divinity in the bible don't convince you, then i'm sorry, God gave you a brain for nothing. DECEIT is something based on SATANIC VERSES!

  • @jamool2009 Jesus said, 'I am the Alpha and the Omega'. Jesus said to Philip, 'Philip have I been with you this long and still you do not recognize me? Anyone who sees me, sees the Father.' Jesus also said, 'Before Abraham was, I AM." The Jews understood him well, and picked up rocks to stone him for he was making himself equal to God. Thomas called him, 'my Lord, and my God'. Jesus did not say, 'What? wait wait, did you say I am God?" So many others. How many times do people KNEEL b4 Jesus???

  • Jesus told Marry to tell the disciples that he is going to his father and their father and HIS GOD and their God. Can't you see it in a plain English? Jesus is going to HIS GOD. HOW CAN YOU DARE SAY he IS GOD?

  • @jamool2009 There's nothing plain english about that at all which proves YOUR point. Plain english (an utter explanation of Jesus' divinity) would be John 1:1. "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word WAS God.... and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw his glory." MANY other texts can be cited which are PLAIN ENGLISH refereces to Jesus' divinity. So question is, how dare YOU deny it?

  • @fifalacious The so called John gospel came about 120 yrs after Jesus. What would u say before that time? We do NOT know who is John; it's just a name fabricated by the church, and the same goes for Mathew, Mark and Luke. What so plain about:"the word was WITH God, the word WAS God"! God with himself! Nonsense, wake up. The word here meant WISDOM; read the OT. The NT only says Jesus is a human Messiah, a MAN born of a woman; not a god-man. Jesus NEVER said I AM God or divine. Wake up.

  • @jamool2009 As soon as something doesn't fit in with their UNRESEARCHED wishful thinking, people like you accuse of fabrication! Fortunately for Christianity, the Apostles had successors, something ISLAM cannot claim. John had a desciple named Polycarp. Polycarp then had a desciple named Irenaus. etc etc. Where's Islam's successsion? Fabrication is a scripture which came about in the 7th Century, based on SATANIC VERSES. My friend, waking up, is something you should have done long ago.

  • @fifalacious u are avoiding my points. Christian scholars, NOT Muslims, say that the names: Mark, Mathew, Luke and John are fabricated by the church. These documents had NO names. The church is deceiving u. Just Google it. U do NOT even know who wrote these documents. Google video: Misquoting Jesus. Jesus said:"I'm going to MY God"; he prayed to HIS God. Jesus NEVER said I'm God or divine or god-man. He said he is a HUMAN Messiah. u believe in the Catholic Creed, not of Jesus. Google it.

  • @jamool2009 I would consider your points if I found them to be A) intellectually honest, and B) unbiased by some other false man-made, soul deceiving religion! The gospels, for your information sir, although are not titled 'The Gospel of Mark' for example, don't have to be so for scholars to determine that it was MARK who wrote that gospel, and each evangelist their respective gospel. That is FAR from fabrication. You are a DECEIVER. Jesus DID say he is God in MANY places. READ, and WAKE UP.

  • @fifalacious Google video: "Misquoting Jesus" to see the truth from an EVANGELICAL professor of NT in NC. Check the document called Mark. Where does end: at verse 16:8 or 16:20? Does the FAMOUS story of the adulterous woman exist or not? Does the verses 5:7-8 exist in 1John or not? Compare the KJV prior to 1952 with bible copies after 1952. U will find 300 CHANGES which were fabricated by dishonest, deceptive churchmen. Just Google: 300 changes in the bible. Check ur own Christian sources.

  • @jamool2009 Evangelical professors to not qualify to be referenced as theologians or scholars of theology. Just like people come out with all sorts of crazy theories about the Koran, so too as regards the Bible. The truth is there for you if you but search and not gloat over what some wacko individual says about Scripture. There are gonna be many changes from one version of the bible to the other. That's precisely Y there's different versions, because there's different interpretations. Wake up!

  • what is this movie called?

  • @mannyfrh it is taken from Jesus of Nazareth. I added the music and some effects, but it can all be seen in Jesus of Nazareth starring Robert Powell

  • Which one Christians? Did Jesus die for your sins OR he didn't?

  • I think many people confuse Judas and Judas Iscariot. The last betrayed Jesus.

  • I hate to say this but it is the truth ! I see why so many hate the Jew so much ? You kill my saviour, tell lies about him to discredit him, Stop thousands from seeing Jesus and hearing him and getting salvation, and last of all to this day yet will tell you Jesus was a Bastard Child of a Roman Soldger and virgin Mary ! I do not hate them, but I pray for them for all their Lost souls that will go by way of Satan to his kingdom ! I hope Jesus has something more for them than the kingdom of Satan ?

  • @turtle4aire Try to love. Jesus asks us to love whoever tries to persecute us. Judas did not understand this. It's not easy, but following Jesus means we make radical decisions. Peace,

  • @fifalacious My belief & MY PRAYER is that we, as Christians should share our SALVATION(It is a FREE GIFT OF GOD'S LOVE TO US) BY WITNESSING JESUS CHRIST TO HELP WIN AS MANY SOULS AS WE CAN TO JESUS CHRIST(WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME ON THIS EARTH)! That in turn, is showing GOD & JESUS' LOVE TO OTHERS! GOD BLESS YOU!

  • @turtle4aire If they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord & Saviour & ask (& turn) for forgiveness of their sins, Jesus loves everyone so much that if we humbly repent He will forgive us! If & when they have done this, they have accepted EVERLASTING LIFE IN JESUS CHRIST,which means they more than likely will have EVERLASTING LIFE IN HEAVEN! We have to be a witness of JESUS CHRIST TO HELP WIN AS MANY SOULS AS WE CAN TO JESUS CHRIST(THE KINGDOM OF GOD)!

  • How did judas really die? Suicide (book of matthew) or falling on a rock (acts)?

  • @monetsmoney The best that I have been able to get is the Story of him buying a Potters Field and Jumping from a Ledge and busting him guts open !

another version that may fit is he give the money back to the Jews and they bought the Potters Field and Judas Jumped from a Ledge and Busted his Guts Open. All the research that i have done points to the jumping from a Ledge !

Now the Hanging hisself keeps popping up in films, but i don't think this was true !

  • Thank you for dying on the cross and giving your life for my sins Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior

  • Judas was his brother! WHom I love to death! Bless Judass. Because he is REAL

  • @fozngrace Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord & Saviour?

  • JESUS....LMSAO

  • People keep missing the reason for his coming into the world, and all the events that led up to his crucifixion. If the events did not unfold as God planed then there would be no lamb slain for the sins of people. All things happened, as they should have; and Gods plan was laid out perfectly. Judas is not in hell he had a task he had to carry out even though it was unbeknown to him.

  • @Idotgotit I disagree. He did play a large part in Scripture, but he committed the worst sin one can make; He betrayed God. I pity Judas, because he was under Satan's influence at the time and he was never forgiven of his sin when he hanged himself.

  • @fillycheese92 It's an unbelievable thinking. Judas betrayed God=handed God over to the Romans! But this Judas was under Satan's influence. This means that God is the weakest point in this chain of events w/Satan at the top! They also say that Satan tempted God while God can't be tempted! How can you say that? Or just parroting the church line. No wonder that a lot of atheists and agnostics say we don't accept the biblical god. These atheists have a high standard for God than those Christians!

  • @jamool2009 HUUUHHH? Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord & Saviour? Do you KNOW GOD?

  • @Idotgotit It's impossible to defend false theology. The NT talks about Jesus as a known, admired rabbi or teacher among the Jewish crowds and the Romans. Then tells us that one of HIS disciples was needed to identify Jesus to the Romans. It's makes more sense to say that Jesus was HIDING. Then tells us that the guy who is supposed to die for washing others' sins was hiding, fearing death, sweating it and arming his disciples w/swords. Then tells us that Jesus did NOT wash Judas' sin.

  • @jamool2009 It is good to have debate, however the truth still remains the truth no matter how you slice the pie. A lamb was freely given and a lamb was freely slain for the sins of the world. All who can accept this accepts the truth. (John 3:16) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. All sin if you can accept this can be washed clean, and Judas did play a prominent roll in this truth.

  • @Idotgotit Who said this famous 3:16? Just someone called John and he said it 100 yrs after Jesus! Wow, what did the people use during these 100 yrs? Jesus NEVER said I will die for sins of the world. Read God's declaration of forgiving sins in Jer 31:34 w/o killing a son. Why did Jesus ask u to cut ur hand/foot that caused u to sin? Jesus' Salvation is in obeying God's commands: John 8:29: “The one who SENT me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.”.

  • @jamool2009 (A)(A) John (3:16) was written by one of Jesus own disciple but was spoken by Jesus himself (are you sure you understand that which you are reading). In the Old Testament, The Israelites sacrificed lambs at the Passover feast (EX. 12:21) and as offerings (Lev. 14:10-25). Jesus Christ is the lamb that God would give as a sacrifice for the sins not only of Israel, but also of the whole world (Is. 53:1-12).

  • @Idotgotit Again, 3:16 is NOT the words of Jesus. It's written by some guy named John. Jews sacrificed lambs not their sons. Muslims sacrifice lambs today as thanks to God for NOT sacrificing our sons. Read Abraham and his son Isaac. The lesson of the story is DO NOT sacrifice your sons; use lambs. What saves your neck is NOT someone's else neck, it's doing God's will as Jesus DID himself and asked you to do in John 8:29. Follow the commands of God.

  • @jamool2009 (D) We are obviously not reading from the same book, as I now understand! If I am to believe what you say, then I must give up the values that I have come to know! If I over look one passage in the book of the Bible, like you seem to have done then I would be know better than those who have turned from the truth. A question, Can two walk together that they agree? I leave you this “You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin” 1st John (3:5).

  • @Idotgotit We are reading SAME book. U can't answer me becz u don't want to read it for yourself; u are letting others to read it for u; u are repeating what they tell u. Read what I said and disprove it U are avoiding my points. Jesus NEVER said I am washing or dying for ur sins. Ask this question: Why the Book of James (Jesus' closest guy) never said anything about trinity, Jesus' blood, dying for ur sins, atonement or washing sins. Think of that. U are a Pauline believer NOT Jesus believer.

  • @Idotgotit Mat 1:21 She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. This is the same as 1Jn 3:5. It's the same mission as that of the Baptist who was SINLESS from conception(luke 1:15), put in prison and killed for SURE by the Romans. Read Luke 1 where is saving is by forgiveness of God, NOT by shedding the blood of sons. Simply put, anyone who advices you to follow God's commands he is (taking away) or (saving you from) your sins.

  • @jamool2009 Oohhhh, but my friend it is JESUS' WORDS! For JESUS said (in the BOOK OF JOHN Chapter 3:16,THE HOLY BIBLE):For GOD so Loved the world that he gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON that whosoever believeth in HIM SHALL NOT PERISH but have EVERLASTING LIFE! JOHN WAS RECORDING RIGHT THEN WHAT JESUS HAD SAID!

  • The crucifixion was the only time that God turned a blind eye to the guilty. For he sent a lamb into the world to be given for all, and a lamb was slain for all.

  • I will say this, Judas never intended Jesus to be crucified. Judas belonged to a group of Jewish guerilla fighters called the "Sicari" which is where his name comes from. He believed Jesus to be a violent revolutionary plotting the overthrow of Rome (which Judas' splinter cell group was hoping for), not a peaceful savior. He was trying to goad Jesus into open conflict with Rome so a riot would start and the guerilla fighters would destroy Rome. But, he was sadly mistaken.

  • Also, when Jesus answers Judas and says "Yes, it is you." He was also implying to Judas that he did not have to betray him. The Old Testament prophecies did not name Judas as the traitor, therefore someone else would have done it had he not. It was not his destiny. Jesus was offering him forgiveness if he wouldn't go through with his plan, but he did.

  • @Mosh4Yesh777 It's because, it wasn't really his destiny... He was the most ''weak'', money was his weak point and the demons took advantage of it.

  • @ZMAGD I agree. He kept his guard down, and the Devil took advantage of it.

  • Some of you are reading too much into Judas's betrayal. Jesus knew Judas was going to betray Him. When they asked Him "Is it I, Lord" and Jesus told Judas in Matthew "Yes, it is you." He wasn't choosing him, he was basically telling him that he wasn't hiding anything from him and that he knew what he was planning. Judas was a snake, not a loyal friend. Earlier in the Gospels, it is said that Judas stole money from the disciples treasury and used it for himself behind their backs.

  • @fifalacious It's a miracle. Just a bit that Robin Williams did. It made me laugh. I probably messed up on the names. Still, I got a giggle. : )

  • I've heard it argued that Judas was the " most beloved" disciple. That's why he was entrusted with the most important role to play. ///\\\ But then again, it's all myth. Question: How did Judas die? Don't " b~l~e~n~d '. Pick one or the other. Discuss. ^_^

  • Judas seems to me like the most interesting Apostle.

  • @shayaan2354 I lean more to Thomas. To each his own. @:-{>

  • @yeshuahfullofit

i don't know much behind the basic story of the Bible, but Judas seems to be a 3 dimensional character,

  • @shayaan2354 Well, you being a covert special ops agent ,AND a crash test dummy, you are in a better position to know than I. I just want to poke my (middle) finger into his wound before I believe. Jesus didn't berate Thomas, so I don't think he'll care if I do it too before I believe. @:-{>

  • @yeshuahfullofit

Judas' wound? Hm. I think there is more to the story of Judas than meets the eye. they found a puported Gospel of Judas. so idk. but then again, i prefer Vader to Luke, Kain to Abel, so maybe i just like Judas for that reason

  • @shayaan2354 Luke was a wuss! Able "knew" them sheep in the biblical sense! I am currently writing a new "recently discovered" Judas Gospel. Anything you want me to put in there for you? "Judas' wound?". No... Jeebus' wound..."doubting Thomas, ummember?

  • Great movie! Loved it when I first saw it. I also noticed that not many of the actors looked Semetic. A blue-eyed Jesus! Speaking English! Now THAT'S a miracle! I still enjoy watching it.

  • @yeshuahfullofit lol.. the beards were an attempt I guess. Still, I prefer this over Mel Gibson's attempt at 'realism' any day. This was a masterpiece. You managed to watch it and escape unscathed?? :Oo

  • @fifalacious Yep! I even watched Pirates of the Carribean, Hercules, Jason and the Argonauts, Jurrasic Park and Godzilla without a scratch. I still don't fear pirates, a demi-god, Cyclops, T-rex or a Japanese guy in a rubber suit..... if you get my drift. : )

  • @fifalacious Never watched Mel G's "The Passion".

  • @fifalacious gotta say, this one wasn't that good. Jesus seemed pretty apathetic at times, the directors put a LOT of emphasis on Jewish tradition and the people, as if to rationalize their killing of Jesus...AND MARY NEVER GREW OLDER THAN A TEENAGER!

  • @fifalacious Why? What's wrong with Mel Gibson's movie?

  • @0:42 " Rabbi?" In the first century, Jewish Law held that a man be married to be called "rabbi". You must at least have obeyed the first commandment, "go forth and multiply". Either Jesus was married, or he was never called "rabbi". One or the other.

  • @yeshuahfullofit 'Rabbi' as u prolly know, in Hebrew means "teacher." On the other hand, "...you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students" Matt 23:8. Jesus frequently accepts the titles "Teacher" and "Rabbi" (Mt 8:19) but this is not a proof of him having been married. He was addressed as such as 'a teacher' and not because he held any kind of official Jewish office. This is why the Jews asked Jesus 'by what authority' he did certain things.

  • @fifalacious Sounds good the way you say it so easily, but I bet if you check 1st Century Jewish Laws and Traditions you will find that a man had to be married to become a "rabbi". ( You must take Lab 101 before you can take Lab 102 ). I don't care what "titles" he accepted, This is written for a PURPOSE. He's to be seen or accepted as a "RABBI" to the readers.

  • @fifalacious "Matthew" as you know, was written to a Jewish audience.

  • @yeshuahfullofit According to the gospel of philip, jesus was married to mary magdalene.

  • @shorty962 And their daughter Sarah was the "Holy Grail". Makes you wonder. The Templars, on their return had popes and kings bowing down to them as they accumulated great wealth, land and power. What did they know that the xian believers don't?

  • Such an awesome, awe inspiring movie! Robert Powell has set the standard for all other actors who will portray our Lord! Happy Easter to all!

  • Such an awesome, awe inspiring movie! Robert Powell has set the standard for all other actors who will portray our Lord! Happy Easter to all!

  • with out the betrayal there is no sacrifice, no forgiveness of sins, and jesus would have continued to be just another prophet. How can we claim that Judas is damned for his betrayal when it was absolutely essential to fulfill the scripture. Judas was his most loyal friend, to a point that he was the only one who could be counted upon to help fulfill the scripture. The kiss between them is not of betrayal, but of a recognition of what is to be fulfilled. Judas betrayed no one.

  • You're gonna have to tell that to the apostles and, no doubt, to Jesus himself who all use the word 'traitor' to describe Judas. Remember, they asked the Lord at the last supper: tell us, who will BETRAY you? ... Jesus answered, the one who dips his bread into the wine with me.. he shall be the one.

  • Okay, found it!

    Check out this Judas portayal!

Would be interested in your thoughts.

    watch?v=lpDG8eav2iQ

  • Greetings.

Ive thoroughly enjoyed your entry here and your thoughts on Judas.

For the past 3 years, I have portrayed Judas at a presentation at our church. We have a last supper, of sorts, and at some point each "character" stands up and addresses the audience, and speaks about him/herself. Its been quite an interesting task in formulating who Judas was. Ive incorporated greed, selfishness, granduer, doubt, and finally the choice to proceed and meet with the Sanhedrin.

  • Ive gained insight from video posts here on youtube (one last year that I can no longer find. it was a stage performance, with Judas talking).

One theory I do incorporate is that of Judas' sympathy for the zealots if not a zealot himself. I speak of "my" disappointment with Jesus and how now I will push the issue. Force him to act and proclaim himself, therefore start the revolution... Because thats the way I want it done. And the money? Hey why not.

I' be interested in your thoughts. Peace.

  • I'm a fan of Zifferelli's "Jesus of Nazareth," (as well as his "Moses" starring Burt Lancaster), but I think you actually came up with a better musical score than they did.

  • lol... I honestly think there may have been a mystical hand in it all coz it just came together... for example, when Jesus, in the temple is speaking to Judas about opening up his heart, there's actually the sound a of a heartbeat in the score, something TOTALLY unintentional on my part but which found ITSELF perfectly placed i think ;)

  • Learn your history. If hitler had not persecuted the Jews, if he had treated them well. The zionist movement had no chance. Hitler was the driving force to make the Jewish people see that they no choice but to return to Palestine.

  • You give me nothing; I give you factual dates and happenings. If you cannot back up what you say. There is no point to this discussion.

  • nice!

  • wat movie is this clip from??

  • the clip is from Jesus of Nazareth by Franco Zifferelli. I added the music and did the editing.

  • Idotgotit : Judas is not in hell he had a task he had to carry out even though it was unbeknown to him--

    Same with Hitler!!!!!!!!!

  • NO, Not same as Hitler!! Hitler deceived the world! Judas deceived himself, therefore saving the world through the blood of the lamb. Open your heart not your mind !!!

  • Idotgotit Exactly the same; There is this prophecy in the bible, that the Jewish state will be restored, It happened. Why ? Because Hitler persecuted and murdered the Jews all over Europe. Hitler did God`s will. That`s the untenable conclusion, if you believe in Bible prophecy.

  • NO! God can tell the future because he's already seen it happen, and NOT because he creates it and manipulates it. He interceedes within it to right the wrongs according to HIS plan, but he determines no one's fate, that's something we do through the choices we make. Judas was free.. he used that freedom. God saw it beforehand and told us about it before it happened so we can believe just that, that he IS God.

  • lizazoon: What is written and what is Gods will are two different things. He told the Jewish people that they would be persecuted this is true. However, he would rather us live in peace together but this would be impossible given mans nature. Hitler was not Gods instrument to restore the Jewish nation. This was started in 1917 signing of the Balfour Agreement then finally carried out on 14 May 1948 and neighboring Arab states attacked them. This was way after Hitlers the war.

  • lol.. you believe in Judas but Moses is fictitious. Where's the logic? I'll give you evidence soon enough as regards their wandering in the desert. You need to trust God more. Eventhough the events in the OT may already have had prefigurements in other religions doesn't mean they're untrue.

  • lol.. you believe in Judas but Moses is fictitious

Who says I believe in Judas ?

  • In actuality Judas is our true savior, he was even told by Jesus that he would become the betrayer and therefore burn for hell in all eternity. Had he not done so, Jesus would not have died for our sins.

Jesus got off easy, a day on the cross, then eternity in heaven. Judas still burns in Hell for his "crime".

    PRAISE JUDAS

  • No actually he was NOT told by Jesus, the others were. He was left in perfect liberty. He probably did think he was doing a good thing, but his eyes and his heart weren't open, as Jesus 'told' him, and headstrong did his own thing. Like many of us anyway.

  • @MuerteDeAmor PRAISE GOD for giving his only BEGOTTEN SON that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE; PRAISE JESUS for shedding his blood on the CROSS OF CALVARY for the sins of the World! All who do not accept the FREE GIFT OF SALVATION WILL WIND UP IN THE ETERNAL BURNING LAKE OF FIRE WITH SATAN HIMSELF! For on JUDGEMENT SATAN WILL BE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE BY GOD ALONG WITH DEATH,HELL & THE GRAVE!

  • @ilililhy1 To JESUS BE ALL GLORY & HONOUR & POWER & PRAISE! FOR ON JUDGEMENT DAY EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW & EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OVER ALL, WILL you be ready? Do you know JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD & SAVIOUR? SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT! All you have to do is ask Jesus to come into your heart & ask for forgiveness of your sins,& HE WILL FORGIVE! Will you choose HIM AS YOUR LORD & SAVIOUR BEFORE YOUR TIME ON EARTH IS UP?

  • Poor Judas....very tragedy.....suicide.....I wish Judas would meet Jesus for forgiveness after His Risen. Jesus is the Great Mercy, AMEN!

  • I love this film Jesus of Nazareth is very wonderful.....I like Robert Powell as Jesus very much how he was good actor. Nice blue eyes..no matter....May God bless!

  • mm judas in this movie is gorgeous who is this acotr?!?!?!

  • lol... there's a first

  • Hi this English actor named Ian McShane.....hopefully helps you. Thanks

  • Also known as Al Swearengen.

  • Ha, sure that looks like him....really interested! Thank for comment.

  • I would like to think tat Judas was actually part of the plan. Jesus might be wavering in his belief upon his impending death as all humans will be. Judas was that extra push to let the master plan proceed. sounds a little dark but I think God intended 1 person to suffer and rise to heaven and another(judas) to suffer in hell for the sins of man. just a thought.

  • REVELATION 21:14

Read what is written on the wall of the city?

  • I perfectly undersatnd that alot of people feel as though Judasmight have had a real purpose to fufill, iit seems likeit but know God would have seen it through that his purpose be filled with or without Judas betraying Jesus, of all the words that Jesus used He used betrayed. Medidtate on that alone and you will learn that he is no longer a friend of God but a rival who has chose his side.

  • Really look upto Judas for what he did. Maybe he realised how corrupt the bible was and killed him off for those reasons. Was probably just for the money. Whatevr, jesus got what he deserved.

  • @Muloc7253

he is the all powerful god and the only way to heaven

    chose your side

  • Well I've always fought for what I believe in even if that side loses at the end, and that's what I'll continue to do. I'm not a glory seeker.

  • Judas was the beloved Deciple. Jesus was about sacrifice. What Judas done was still part of our Father's Plan. He was then torn with the irony of what he did. He slipped on a Rock. The Rock of the god's Law. Jesus. He Hanged himself. He came to the end of his rope and purpose. It was perfect. He who Christ loves, the world hates. Think about it. pray on it

  • @reluctantprophet7

    interesting

  • hmm actually the word betray is translated wrong from Greek a better translation would be to deliver , and no i am not gnostic:)

  • Jesus is portrayed as a starry-eyed space case. It's like comic relief... also, he sure don't look like no Mediterranean as others have remarked. Horrible interpetation, an English Jim Morrison speaks poeticly whilst under the influence of some good mesculine.

  • I am sorry for what judas iscariot did to Jesus. I know he didn't mean to do that. Sometimes people can make mistakes in life. It is perfectly normal.

  • Jesus was not white with blue eyes. Morons

    Catholics lol

  • for what I have said I am truly sorry

  • try to watch the The Gospel of Judas, the Hidden Story of the Betrayal of Christ ..

  • Jesus never had blue eyes. Bullshit.

  • A Blue eyed jesus - LMAO.

    some crazy white people.

  • I don't think there white peope being in Israel

  • Yeah, Jesus looks really Jewish here.

  • @bolives

    he was a jew

  • Yeah I know. I was being sarcastic.

  • soon enough will the world know of you Father...the world denies you..but the truth shall be heard, seen, and spoken of soon..peace be upon us all..to the believers and non believers.

  • jesus (pbuh) is one of the mightiest prophets of islam

  • he the mesiah, not the prophet in islam. he is the rightful mesiah

  • islam says jesus(peace be upon him) is the messiah

  • how can be Jesus looks that european?

  • jesus was true aryan ;)

  • I love this music, where is it it from? I don't think it's from Jesus of Nazareth

  • Judas......the one man in History who deserves no reward

  • To say that you have learned nothing from the story Travis.

  • I always liked the portrayal of Judas in this Zeffirelli adaptation. Instead of Judas being the money grubbing villain through the whole thing, he doesn't know he's betraying him until Zerah hands him the money. He thought he was doing the right thing politically. That's much more terrifying to think of because we could all have our way to hell paved with our good intentions. Nice twist on the character.

  • Judas Iscariot, such a great man!

  • But that was all a reply to something earlier, I do have a point/question though - why is Judas so persecuted by Christians, were it not for him in your story, Jesus would not have died on the cross, and therefore you would all be "un-saved" as such, you owe him your eternal souls really, rather than scorn, according to your logic, yes?

  • I've heard a theory that Judas was entranced with the love of money, and that is why he turned Jesus in. According to one of the Gospels, Judas did dip into their financial stash (which he was also left in charge of). I don't think he was tricked.

  • According to this movie, Judas was tricked into believing that the scribes needed to meet with Jesus and used Judas to bring him to them. Question is was Judas fully aware that he was betraying his master? Or was he simply so blinded by finding the one to lead them to peace?

  • God BLESS you for your video. This week is Holy Week for Orthodox Christians, and today, Wednesday, marks the remembrance of Judas' Betrayal. This video was beautiful. Thank you.

  • just one question, to get a better picture of your tales, why did Jesus ask god why he had left him, when god and Jesus is one? good films by the way, but I wish this world would let go of religion and become peaceful again

  • If you clearly have no interest in hearing what anyone believes, I find no point in explaining something that is hard to grasp without giving any consideration. It's much to question every detail about Christianity than answer them all, but of course you would question, because if you are wrong you stand so much to lose.

  • uhm, what?! ofc I am interested in hearing other people beliefs. thats why I post comments here!

I want to understand this tale! dont take what I say as sarcastic, cus its not. I am against christianity, sure, but does that mean I am not allowed to have the knowledge you believers got?

I asked one question only, I don't need the long version. any good christian would at least try give me an answer, even if its not complete

  • At the beginning of time God created the Word, his son. The Word in it's original context means knowledge or truth, so his son was the truth. So God created his son, an extension of himself, that has been with him for all eternity. The Son, Jesus, was sent to Earth as a new commandment to replace the original Commandments God put in place with Moses as mankind sins and couldn't follow them. As Jesus had known God's love for all eternity, Jesus' abandonment was unknown and an unfathomable pain.

  • Jesus is begotton, not made. Uncreated. He's God, and as such has no beginning. The Alpha, Omega and everything in between.

  • Because Jesus had two natures, fully divine, and fully human. He experienced everything that is human without letting go of divinity simply because he has only ever had ONE PERSON, the divine. It is the eternal Son of God who assumed flesh within the womb of Mary. His cry from the cross was done in his true humanity. This union is a mystery we'll never fully penetrate. But it is the truth. God could not redeem that which he did not fully assume, humanity. Jesus was like us in everything but sin.

  • "God could not redeem that which he did not fully assume, humanity."

God could not? could not? Then He isn't Omnipotent.....

By your earlier logic, one can easily conclude that He is either not Omniscient or is evil, so therefore, going by your own logic: God is either not all powerful and not all knowing, or is not all powerful but is all knowing and evil. Either way - why call Him God?

  • 'Could not' meaning that for justice to have been fulfilled (and we know God is PERFECTLY just) he himself had to pay the price.. the JUST price, for sins, which are offences that are committed against him, and therefore have an infinite character. Only God can make up for such sins, if he was to remain just so he HAD TO become one of us in order to himself become the offered victim acceptable in his sight.

God CAN and HAS made himself weak by assuming a human nature. He can do anything.

  • No.

If God is all powerful, no blood sacrifice is needed, that was added as Christianity is a derivative of Judaism and Pagan rituals.

  • What you see as a derivative is actually the development God himself led to through prophetic gestures and events. Abraham tells Isaac, the true sacrifice, the true Lamb of God (the one who would appease his wrath truly and fully) was to come. The entire Exodus story was a preparation of OUR exodus from slavery to sin to the freedom of life through the blood of the Son of God. Plz don't think you know it all because God himself will humiliate you coz he loves you. Peace.

  • Fantastic montage of these very memorable scenes. Tonight is Holy Thursday night when we remember not only the Last Supper but also the sad of events of Jesus Agony in the Garden, his betrayal and arrest. This was a perfect meditation for me on this night. Thank you.

  • Hey, sorry I didn't reply. I was away in Bosnian mountains living out my Easter there. Glad it helped you. Peace

  • Fifilcaious, you've really done a beautiful job putting this montage together. It moved me to tears. You're right, we have all betrayed the Lord at some point and continue to do so. We tend to find Judas's action repugnant while forgetting that we're really no better. I thank God for his everlasting mercy and love and thank you for reminding us all of the essentials.

  • Glad it said something to you as it did to me. Making it was very meditative. Peace

  • Look, if God is omnicent, then free will is negated. If free will exists, then God is imperfect. I always laugh when someone says "Well God wants you to choose freely". If God knows all, then there is no free will. That is just typical modern day Christianity double-speak.

  • It is VERY simple. No double-speak at all. If God knows the future, it's only because he's let things take their course first. He knew you typed this way before you did. But he knew it, because you did it just a few minutes ago. He let you choose to type, you did, and he saw it before you were even born. Simple.

  • we know what we will type before we type it, and yet we still manage to type. if god exists and is omniscient, that knowledge doesnt negate free will.

  • But I am afraid that logic fails, as if God is Omniscient and the Christian God is real, then He created me to condemn me, as He knew I wouldn't believe without evidence, its got nothing to do with choice really, as he knows what our choice will be, there is no "he thinks we will do this but hopes we wont" he KNOWS without any doubt whatsoever, if I make a robot, and give it a matrix program to give it a measure of free will given certain circumstances, but know

  • 100%, because of the programming that I gave him that although he can choose not to, he will go and kill someone, am i not responsible for that? Yes, yes I am, therefore, If God real, and is Omniscient, he is evil, and deserves no worship. If He is not Omniscient, then why do we call him God? Logically, one must conclude that there is no real evidence for God outside of the vain and selfish hope for eternal happiness created by religious institutions. Heaven would be no gift, it would be a curse

  • - an ETERNITY, no matter where, would be awful. Sure, having every whim catered to you would be sheer bliss for the first million years, maybe even the next million, but what about the billion after that, and the trillion after that, and even then you just have eternity after eternity to look forward to monotony as you have done everything that can ever be done.

  • What is not spoken of is that Jesus and Judas were such good friends that Jesus tasked him to betray and hand him over. To take on the mantle of one of history's greatest villians showed Judas's love.

  • Actually, He loved Judas, till the end, and gave him every opportunity to see the light (Jesus). He did not program the decisions Judas. But he could foresee the actions Judas would eventually, freely, choose, and therefore be able to speak about them before hand. Let there be no doubt, that Jesus' heart was crushed at being betrayed. He never wanted it. He only wanted our salvation and freely accepted what that meant as well -- the shedding of his blood... the innocent Lamb of God.

  • I wouldn't say freely when describing the actions of Judas according to the Gospel of Luke (22:3) Satan enters him and so presumably he is possessed.

  • now according 2 the scribe he said 2 jesus it took century's 2 build this temple and yet you say in 3 days u will make it rise again ? and jesus said u said it but you did not understood jesus was talkin about the resurrection, now imma make this clear we no temple can mean a body that god dwell in 4 the holy scriptures said says defile not the body 4 it is the temple of the holy ghost and thats not all it also say present ur body as a living sacrifice means a body a temple that god can dwell in

  • i luv this movie but there are some parts that some ppl get lost at well some christains wen the scribe said do u wish 2 destroy this temple now jesus had no intentions of destroying the temple according 2 the scribe they thought he meant the temple of stone, now wen jesus said destroy this temple this.....temple in 3 days i will make it rise again he was talkin about hemself now listen he did rise in three days did he not.

  • Interestingly, although the Gospels don't mention him, a rabbi Zera did exist as per the Talmud, though I didn't find out at what time (but since the Talmud was written c.200, before then). It's interesting, and it makes you wonder what resources they used for the movie.

  • This is my favorite movie; and I am someone who has studied film. So, I am in something of a good position to tell you that: You have some serious skill in film-making. This is good work.

Some light criticism: The volume of the background music was, at some points, a bit loud (in my opinion). But your music selection was perfect, and fit well with the video and film content. It also fit well with the mood and the feelings that arise in the heart of most Christians when they see this film.

  • thank you . god with u

  • what is the name of this? movie or tv series?

  • The movie is called "Jesus of Nazareth" (1977) by Franco Zeffirelli.

I really like this montage, it's very excellently done, with the cuts and music synchronization. Two thumbs up :)

  • English , just sound so un original. And the whole thing is just so "drama". Well I mean if they can ever make it more realistic like Passion of the christ and uses Aramaic, it will be much nicer.

  • well according to the Gospel of Judas
