ya a lil more delay and slight reverb would help man and maybe tuning ur strings i noticed the patch was not like the recording and could be if you listened and try it out but any way there was i think one part that deviated from the recording but other tht nice

@ach701 Thanks man. Unfortunately its the mechanics of strings. You will never be perfectly in tune with someone else. Temperature, pressure on the strings, slight variations in intonation, all add up to a couple of cents out. That's why a chorus pedal takes the sound, duplicates it, then detunes it fractionally to give the illusion of multiple guitars. It wouldn't sound natural if there were 2 identical sound waves. In fact, it would just make the sound twice as loud :)

I personally find these solos very interesting. As well as the Edge's stuff, which many metal fans wouldn't even consider to be solos.

I never read any tabs. I just listened to the song, watched the dvd for glimpses of the general area that they were playing in and then worked it out by ear.

Well put it to you this way:

I play with it every sunday at church. I've recorded an entire album using just the sounds from Line 6 and I get countless compliments about my tone.

If you're into to only 1 style of music then rather buy specialist equipment. But if you need flexibility for a lot of genres then I can highly recommend the POD XT.

Ok guys... I know this is taking forever but I've decided that tomorrow is the day that I video myself playing this slower so you can all see what I do.

I don't write out tabs, I find that they make things too robotic. Rather watch what I play and try and duplicate it... it's the best way to learn in my opinion.

What is the gear (guitar, podXT settings) that you use?

They've changed a lot since then. My guitar had some pretty shocking pickups in it that were REALLY low output. Since then I've gotten new higher output pickups and now ALL my settings have changed. If you want I can send you my current settings for my POD. Do you also have one? And do you have Line 6 Edit?
