@falewail74 Kalnoky used to be in Catch 22, who released Keasbey Nights (which Kalnoky wrote every song of) in their last year of/year after high school. Kalnoky had then left Catch to go to college, and when he got out of college he formed Streetlight Manifesto. After SM released EWN, their label decided they wanted to re-release Keasbey Nights. Kalnoky basically said he didn't want people paying $15 for the same album with a new cover, so he proposed that he re-record the entire thing with SM.

This song was written by Tomas and originally preformed by Catch 22, Tomas, and Josh, and Jamie, left catch 22, and Started BOTAR and eventually Streetlight. Victory Records who at the time had both Catch and Streetlight, wanted to rerelease the album keasby knights, basically just to....

When they approached Tomas for permission to do that, Tomas decided to kill two birds with one stone, and rerecord the album (thereby also releasing a new album that was required of them) At the time Catch and streetlight had a bit of a grudge going on, and you can see Tomas make references to that in a few songs on both this album and Everything went Numb. The bands are now friends again blah blah blah. NOW GROW THE FUCK UP, LEARN HOW TO DO SOME RESEARCH

@C3Rl3 No. Catch 22 did the song in '98. They then kicked Tom out so then he started Streetlight Manifesto. In a sense, this is Streetlight Manifesto's song too. This is Tom's way of payback. I prefer this version much better too. Catch 22 was really good as well.

@C3Rl3 Supernothing was recorded in Tomas Kalnoky's first band (when he was a teen) so it definitely IS his. He wrote the sings therefore he has part ownership. Maybe not 100% Ownership but some at least. Streetlight Manifesto is my favorite band and in my opinion is not as good as Catch 22. We both have different opinions. He wrote the songs and brought them to the band though so he does have ownership/partial ownership of them.

Streetlight's version compared to Catch 22's is much different because it has more of a harsh and aggressive tone. I love both versions, but Streetlight just sounds angry when performing this album.
