My team was watching Open level play at Nationals a couple years ago and the ref was letting one guy have unlimited time from whistle to service. People started a countdown and the dude purposefully served one like the video at the crowd. It was awesome.

Take it from an actual jump server: This happens. I've catapulted quite a few jumpers like that, even after I got it down consistently. It was just a really bad shank. And if you watch the slow-motion again, you might realize that it actually hit the fan's shoulder and deflected away. The server sure hit the sh*t out of the ball, but in the wrong spot.

Your dumb, the reason the court is small is because YouTube cropped the video to make it fit the screen. The dimensions of the video are different different to what they should be. It s a regular sized court.
