  • Your MPGUINO gives an instant and average fuel economy?

  • @frostysmores

Yes. The MPGUINO calls it "IM" for "Instantaneous MPG," as well as "CM" for "Current MPG," and another menu with "TM" for "Tank MPG." It tracks idle time for this trip or this tank as well as miles of engine off coasting. Happy hypermiling!

  • What gage are you using and your engine relay shut off can u elborate on when you hooked it up at on the relay. I'm at 45mpg no mods with 92 vx 235k on it

  • @MrSignalauto

The gauge is called a MPGUINO.

5th gen civics have a main relay that controls fuel supply and ignition in the same unit. The switch I installed is an interrupt switch that acts exactly as the ignition key does. I think it cuts 12v, not ground, but it's been a while since installing it. The main reason to use the switch and not the key is that the switch is $5 and the ignition is $300 to replace.

  • Great, waiting for more 'hypermiling' vids.

What a pitty that we can not see a road geometry only dash board.

    Greetings from Warsaw,

    Peter.

    Thanks!

I have a plan for a video shot by someone in the passenger seat. That should allow the user the ability to see more than just the dash and interior! I'll post soon.
