I understand what you were going for. It's ot more of a latin beat as it is more of a latin style drum solo. You should retry the solo and add in a latin GROOVE that you go back to every so often when you're not in SOLO mode. lol. later man.

Personally I think the comments so far have been a little harsh. If people want to post videos, it doesn't matter how good they are. Way too many people spending all their time being mad critical of others when they don't post anything themselves.

Not really very latin. Practice with a metronome, drop your hihats down so you don't waste motion. Study swing rythms to gain limb independence and to see how to swing these things you are playing. That will make your time even better.

you never play a pulse on with your bass drum in latin, you play a son clave, rhumba clave or variations (songo..)

You have great spirts of latin influence timing is everything try metronome 120 bpm playing with a regular 4/4 beat and work from there. If you really want to persue this the fundamentals need to be learned you have natural talent it just needs to be refined.

You have the idea. try to get some clave going with your left foot. keep in 2/3 time and it will sound great.

sorry, but that was really bad and really amateur. i hate it when people hail praises onto playing like this, just becuase they think someone is a 'good' drummer when they can play relatively fast and play on the rim and on the walls.

its obvious you have never listened to latin music before and only listen to punk rock. that was more of an amatuer attempt at dance music.

there was no syncopation, no dynamics, no salsa bass drum, not even a samba bass drum.
