He is a good guitarist but his sales pitch on TV, the great package he used to offer not sure if he still does: Guitar, amp, strings, case, book, stand,DVDs, frets,tunning machines, painted plywood, plastic rosette, plastic bridge, artificial coloring, extracts, tomato paste, egg plant, maxi pads, salt and pepper, partially dehadroginated oil, trans fat, potato chips, aspirin, antibiotics, and other Chinese made products for $199.99 including shipping.
I have that exact guitar and the third string tuner broke that day I got it and the strings are very buzzy lol and I lost the videos .... I guess the case came in handy to stash my weed lol

And anyone out there that claims they are good for beginners........THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER GUITARS THAT ARE GREAT FOR BEGINERS........Fender, Ibanez, Yamaha, and they're all reasonably priced and the list goes on. I think ESTEFRAUD's guitars would make a great disposable toilet and thats about it.

How can you say this about a true American hero who climbed out of Pittsburgh PA, away from the steel mills, to be one of the finest musicians the world has ever known? I heard he (Stephen Paul is his 'real' name) gave guitar lessons to Andres Segovia, and Jimi Hendrix.
Now to that piece of shit guitar I bought from them. Fret dressing was a nightmare, some were loose in their notches.There wasn't a complete finish at the neck joint-really sloppy workmanship. Some inside joints were missing glue. The electronics sounded surprisingly good, the amp was ok too. I sent it back 2 days after it arrived. What did you expect for $200 the wife said. It came with a return address label already made out...hmmmm...
He did at, one time, sell an electric on QVC> It was pathetic!. Like most acoustic players who pick up an electric for the first time he made it sound way out of tune because of the pressure he was using to play. Electrics require a totaly different touch. No string bending, no lighting fast arpeggios..he would have been better off to hire an experienced electric player. He is a great player on acoustic.
@flextoneibanez I heard he was touring with the Eagles next time they go out. After all these years of begging him, Esteban finally agreed. Oh, wait; maybe it was somebody else.

The guy has more holes than a golf course when it comes to his background and how he started playing. He CAN play....YES, but he is far from a great guitar player. Also check out Andy Mckee.
Esteban is okay. He is a talented person at music,but he is most talented as a saleman. No he does not play the real flamenco exclusively,but he does get people interested. He has probably got a lot of people started playing the guitar that would not have. He is from my wife's hometown. He does stretch the truth about studying under the maestro Segovia. He shows a book signed by him that means nothing.
I wan't to hear him play an electric guitar because I hear a lot of electric guitar players play acoustic too;but you never hear a flamenco guitar player ever go outside the box.Bends tweeks blues scale,dorian etc.
I will bet anyone out there that I, (like so many others) can destroy him with the same Flamenco guitar. I have seen his guitars and on a one to ten, for the money they are about a 6, which is not that bad. because your local music store will try and sell you even something worse for the money. Well, Esteban doesn't really play flamenco. You're perfectly allowed to like him, but flamenco is something completely different. A big part of why people hate on him is that people think things like "he is the very best at flamenco guitar," which does a pretty big disservice to flamenco on the whole.
Well, let's just say he's good at what he does. I've seen other guys on here playing and honestly I have seen someone that's better. But to knock his talent on guitar is not right. B/c he is good at what he does....most people out there couldnt play what he does.
No he is really talented no doubt about that. He just uses that talent to sell crappy guitars to mothers and kids who don't know any better. They could find a much much better starter guitar kit. And marketing an acoustic with an amp saying it plays like an electric with distortion is terrible. You can't make an acoustic an electric. Too much feedback in my experience.
