  • Just some info.....on Win 7, just download the ISO as pointed out in vid, go to the file and double click on it and then Windows will prompt you to burn the ISO to disc. Insert a blank CD/DVD and click burn :). No need for third party software.

  • Sir, I commend you on that program. I have been trying to get memtest to work from usb for ages, all because I could not burn to CD's from other software. Your method actually worked first time, although I had to re-insert the CD, thanks so much. Spent hours on this and now it finally works :)

  • haha you sound like "Forrest Gump"

  • how do you know if you got errors!!!

  • here's a tip, don't disable all your other boot devices. Otherwise youll have to reset your motherboard if you do it wrong

  • Erm... what do i do if it freezes at bios, i cant change it so the CD boots first.... tried C-mos battery both ram sticks and restored harddrive!!!! what do i do?

  • Thank you very much!

  • hey thanks for your help papa but i have on pass 0 but on errors 347830 please help me with this i keep getting a blue screen thanks

  • good tut

  • Worked like a charm. Thanks

  • so I must have a blank disk?

  • I feel like I'd somehow screw up my computer more by trying to test my memories. 2+2=4hours to check memory? madness!

But I did just buy a new system, and I would hate to be using defective memory and not know it :O.

    I just got OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600MHz (6GB - 2x3gb I believe)

  • I lied, 3x2. 6 hours to test memory? I think I may just do all 3 and pray there arent any errors. :X?

  • Great little utility! My favorite memory diagnostic tool.

    Cheers

  • An online friend of mine wants me to check out Windows Memory Tool, have you used it? I never have. What do you think of it?

  • I've tried it out once or twice before but for some reason I think Memtest86 is more robust. Anyway with the word Windows in it, it probably sucks. LOL

The easy thing about using WMT is you don't have to make a floopy or CD, use just search "MdSched.exe" and hit restart.

    Cheers

  • LMAO @ "with the word Windows in it"

I'll try it out, what the hell. More simple for someone you are trying to help do, that is for sure.

  • Windows Mem. Utility didn't find shit, it's not useless, nevertheless it's very superficial.

use memtest86+, it has been prooved by certified technician that it is indeed much better, accurate and superior.

  • No problem

  • @Ferrari0321 I believe I have the same motherboard as you. Also, my CD drive is exactly the same. :P

  • Interesting Video! Thanks!
