  • @abokwu Nerve rewiring, The nerves for those functions are still able to work. They've connected them to recivers which then makes the arm do the motion.

  • @Crazytacoism ...so information from our brain is sent along the nervous system to tendons which are connected to this arm? what in the arm exactly is attahced to the inner workings of this bionic arm. Is there a diagram anywhere that i can download?

  • @abokwu No, the tendons aren't there anymore, because the arm is gone. There are electrodes attached to the nerves that end at, say, the shoulder, where what's left of the arm ends (which would have ran down through the organic arm if it were still there). Those electrodes can detect an action potentials (electric signals) in the nerve endings, which the arm's electronics interpret/decode, then attempt to do what the organic arm would have done through motors/other electrical/mechanical devices.
