NEVER EVER should you leave a curling iron in your hair for 5 minutes! not to mention to do it again for another 5. Roll the hair how you would normally and take your finger and tap it quickly on the hair. its its hot to the touch its done. slide it off and keep it rolled and pin it while its still hot. let it cool and you dont need to do the other side. im surprised you still have bangs hunny!

@MissBethanyVampire How long are your bangs? If they're long enough to roll up and pin with the exception of the few layers then you can just tease the bangs together so the layers are pretty much connected to the long pieces.

May I suggest smoothing the upper side of the hair before you curl it and pin it. It will look smoother and probably be easier to do...

@idance4life17 I didn't in this video because at the time my hair never ended up getting damaged by heat, but after years of heat and hair dye it started frying.

Long story short: I use the Tresemme's Curl Activator heat spray. Spray the hair, blow dry it and curl away!

You should get a Hot tools curling iron...you would only have to curl your hair once for only like 3-5 seconds...they are expensive but well worth it.

Hi, I am just about to buy a new set of curling tongs (mine are too narrow for most of these styles) and I just wanted to know what you would suggest. You say use a medium barrel, how big is that? I have been looking at the 25mm barrel Babyliss Pro 200, do you think this would be a good choice, bearing in mind that my budget is limited :)

haha Yeah, I know.. I occasionally use heat protection products, but I have really really oily hair that takes an army of heat and teasing to do anything to it and allow the bangs to not wilt or separate.

I totally understand that this will probably not be the best for a lot of hair types, but it's the only thing that works for me.
