You left out a few that I would have included, but one of the best war films of all time needs a mention. It's a 1985 Russian film called, Come and See, directed by Elem Klimov. You can see the trailer on IMDB.
Did you include Terrance Malick's, The Thin Red Line? I don't think I saw it in any of the vids.

@Shagrat65 I haven't seen City of Life and Death yet, so I'll have to check it out on your recommendation.
Yeah, Come and See is bleak, but totally compelling. How good is that trailer too? Mozart's Requiem is married to those images!
