The video is misleading. What Zappa singin about is heroine. Not piss in the snow.

"I cant see" references a stage in drug depravation. Not being able to see the truth anymore, the "death feeling" heroine addicts talks about. It is a genial song from the nonalcholic, non drug user (besides coffee and tobacco) - musical genious Frank Zappa.

Hmm.. nah as much as I would love to squeeze a deeper meaning out of it I can't help but take it literally and just see it as an amazingly funny musical composition. It tells the story of Nanook ("Nanook-a-no no"), who was an actual eskimo that was filmed hunting seal in one of the earliest documentaries at the turn of the 20th Century. I somehow don't think he's a metaphor for intravenous drugs. I think he's just an eskimo.

Apparently, the person who thought of this idea is my jazz band instructor, Dave Parlato. He worked with Zappa in "Zoot Allures". wonderfully weird song (and that's good)

Only difference is when the xylophone sound starts, I imagine him unzipping his Frank Zappa costume to reveal himself as some random celebrity, the fur trapper unzips his costume to be some other random celebrity, and the other sound effect kicks in, that rapid "wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa" sound, they hop up and down in joy and run off over the snow fields like best friends with all the frenzy of those early 1920s slapstick silent films, but thats me! :D
