@fayette1983 Do I notice a theme with you? Either mad at all cops or beating off to body building videos. You are one fucked up loser. The more I look into your past the more I can tell you got beat down and shit on your whole life. only place you can try to puff out your chest is on youtube and body building boards comments. You really are a sad piece of human shit.
@0020637344 Uh like I said before man do your research. If your dad is a LT even he would tell you that an officer can become a motor officer. there is a wait list for it yet that doesnt mean you need to be an upper ranking officer
@geturblanks There is no public listing. There are a lot of approved vehicles from those years. It just depended on if the vehicle met the required Internal Affairs Specs.
@nspboarder a typical YT troll notice zero uploads?, lol. and actually likign rebecca black friday? errm okay lol. now back on topic. might i ask what makes these cars unique?, ive only been there but one time. and am in law enforcement myself. can i ask what i missed?
@yamahonkawazuki (this is coming from some one in the FBI here that i know) the cops used to have the traditional standard cars and the higher ranking guys still do but the police officers here where not taking care of the cars they had and trashed them so some people high up said that the state of Hawaii should issue them an allowance to buy there own car and use it so that they don't destroy expensive stat property
@nspboarder but essentially the state is still paying for it. ( via the allowance.) unless they only get one every so often. not knocking HI either. but if you gotta look at it this way. it is the only state which will never ever have a multi state chase. these cars do have to be able to handle a pit. or takesevere duty. hell if i were one of them id grab a ford CPO aka crown vic. body on frame construction. the new caprice will be nice addition too i must admit. albeit a tad pricy. but strong
@yamahonkawazuki from what iv heard the state pays i believe half or 2 3rds or something like that and there is a list that they choose of of some get Honda civics some get dodge magnums or Toyota highlanders or Chevy sedans (lol cant think of the name right now) idk if they get fords i know for document or prisoner transfer they use really old ford econolines they really need to be updated lol
@nspboarder ok. yeah that would force the officer to keep better care of his "office" its how i treated my cruiser. it was my office. broken down it was useless. if it were me id grab anythign RWD. main reason being is pit maneuvers. or if involved in a high speed persuit, easier to oversteer and keep on it safely. and fuel mileage is decent too. civics i dont see being good too much. lack of room. unless they dont use a divider partition in the cars
@yamahonkawazuki i also see the Honda civics in downtown near Waikiki area (i think there trying to look good for the tourists lol) and the highlanders in kailua and Hawaii Kai
Stick to the title "...cars are unique!". This video has nothing to do with seat belts or the laws of HI....To the post: Yes the cars are nice. Fortunately, Hawaii is one of a few States that allow subsidized vehicles for Police duty.
uhh, its called a typo. and don't even try a insult if you have to insult my spelling. and with 7 years on the force, you have to be upper ranking. most priveate vheicles, are subdued. for example, the camaro, and the 4runner.
Dude really. I am police family. And I do know a lot of officers that are motor. Not even PO9. Just officers. that is not upper ranking. And the vehicles are based off the internal affairs listing. And trust me when I saw Police Family I am in one of the most well known ones down here. Do your research...
well, my dad's lieutenant at the downtown station, and he told me, that not any cop can have a private vheicle, because they would not be reimbursed in case of a accident. HPD does pay for gas. So, private cars, are used by upper ranking officers.
@noobishactz could you please tell me what cop's drove back in 1997-2000 just curious and have not found any sites to give me the answer these would include privet and marked vehicles
Honolulu police officers please do not follow orders blindly, there are many laws that are unconstitutional, and you are not required to enforce unconstitutional laws!!! Your duty is to uphold the constitution not violate it.
cant catch a criminal is an excuse for non seat belt laws. nice excuse. take the buckle off one blok ahead of time my new invention will protect homes from break ins once and for all. no its not seat belts for doors
honolulu police are the worst non seat belt users even cops died in those unique cars and suv. i laughed at the commercial were trying to save lives. buckleup oahu its the law
@NIN9ART no but you can transition from seatbelt to non seatbelt quickly enough :). ive had mine on when giving chase. mainly because anything can happen.

for cops to drive their own cars, they have to be somewear in the higher ranking (superioe). and have certan type of cars they can patroll in.

Learn to spell for one man.
And no. they need at least seven years in the force to be considered for "Motor" Ranking has nothing to do with it
