more improvisation lessons for beginners please. I ask because I actually understand what you're doing. A lot of guys on here pretend to instruct but are really blowing their own trumpet so to speak.
Thanks John. You are the best teacher. I have learned more with you in a day than with almost aweek with the other "coaches". I'm 51 years old and I played as a teenager in the 70s and was relativly good. I was in a coma in my 40s and had to learn to do alot of things over again. Including the mouth harp. With your expert style and simple, good natured approach (you don't try to "wow" people with your expertise..you play like they would) Thanks again! you are "really cool".
Oh man! This is exactly what I needed! There is many, many harmonica lessons on youtube, but it was too hard to catch any riff from these lessons, because those riffs were just too dificult and fast for me! You're first man who help me on level, in which I'm able to jamin' with myself! God, Buddha, Krishna, Aláh, anyone you believe in, bless you! Many thanks from Czech republic.
man Im so glad I found your videos, there are some good tutorials but yours showed me the most, ill quote you from the video "music is based on repetition not constantly changing notes" , im beginner and I was constantly changing holes, without any rhythm it sounded horrible :)
but with those improvising I&II videos, and from your tip from some other video (playing only 2 draw for few minutes) I can see great improvement and joy that comes with it
more gratitude for the teaching skill of Mr. Gindick. I've been trying to learn harmonica for about two years now, and while I've improved a ton, I still have significant weaknesses. But your lessons are terrific, Jon, and I love to meet you in person some day. I live on the Jersey shore...cheers
Thanks for this lesson and the earlier ones. I really learned a lot. I bought my harmonica only a few days ago and now I feel like a pro. Even my friends think I'm good. Thanks again! I also hope that there would be more lessons to come on solo playing so that even without a guitar, I can play the harmonica well. Unless there is a video I can look into about it? Thanks.
I love this Guy its a shame they are more people doin posstive things out there instead of wanting to kill people & blow people up & eat shark fin soup. Instead he wants to help the up & coming boogie woogie man. I am going to start selling I Dig Gindick T shirts on ebay. who wants one
I don't understand why 2 draw always works. The 4 blow is the 4th of the I chord and it clashes with the one chord. The 2 draw is the fourth of the V chord and thus it should clash with the V chord.
great videos! i have been so surprised at the complete lack of good information online about something which is built off such simple ideas. Your groove and hapyness while playing is so infectious!
and you dont spend half the video showing off like all the other 'instuctional' videos on here, keep them coming!
Great Stuff Jon! I got one of your books many, many years ago which helped me progress a lot in my playing. Nice straight no nonsense instruction just as you show here. Keep on Harping!
awesome, you're spectacular... so many bad sources of information. i can play the guitar and drums just fine but am totally new to the harmonica. your videos helped me get a good start w/ playing G blues. cheers!

Great post Jon.......great information! The demonstration was super, but the insight shared in the last 60 seconds was most helpful.
Thanks again.

so nice and easy,........fun stuff and very useful.
I have always thought the harp almost plays itself, it is just like
breathing,... almost. In & out & in,.... to sustain life.
