Secondly, Pang Tong was never drunk at the temple after Chi Bi. Finally, Pang Tong was shot by a stray arrow, not predicted by Zhuge Liang to be shot down in Fallen Phoenix Valley.

Yeah as you said in the old version they was learning and have longer practice to take the role before start shooting. which it presented what the ancient is ancient legacy (costumes,wording ,mannerisms etc.) Not what the ancient with the modern styling and story like portray in new version.
