I've heard other horror stories about the UK not letting in women/men because of the "age difference". Apparently, they think it's ok for them to judge whether 2 people can be together or not. It's sick.
I'm glad that my 57-year-old boyfriend is here in the US with me but my heart goes out to you and your wife.
It is Ludicrous the way governments affect our lives. I wish You best of luck getting this resolved. There IS a way. It will just take A LOT of work and creative research.

I have to be honest you really do not have a chance at all of getting her in now.
Obviously, the lying on the original VISA was a real mistake but also that fact you are not financially secure to support her.
The financial security you can provide is a real basic requirement for immigrants to enter the UK.
You constantly and completely deviate from the point which has not helped.
Your best hope is to buy a lottery ticket.

Simple solution my friend. You live in Europe. Move to another country around England and apply from there.
