I hate how MDA treated him after all the years, of blood, sweat, and tears for over 50 years, he would have gave up his life for a cure, and then MDA doing him that way. I remember one Telathon where he said if he was to raise a certain amount on that very telathon he would strip down to his boxers, and tank top t-shirt, the money was raised and he did it. That is how much he LOVES those KIDS!!!!!!!!

I'm really glad that Jerry got this award, but it pisses me off that Eddie Murphy presented it to him. Eddie Murphy's remake of the Nutty Professor SUCKED!!!! It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen - and a huge insult to the original film!

I would have preferred to have Steve Martin, Tom Hanks or Jim Carey present. They have been highly vocal in their gratitude to Lewis. This smacked too much as a promo for the film series, as if that was why they decided to do this now. Also he should receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to film which is immense in front of and behind the camera and changed the ways movies are technically made. But certainly working for a charity for close to 60 years is amazing.
