I sort of agree with johhny4. Reason being is because while there are still lots of black people that have to endure racism, not all of them do now. Just because your great grandparents were enslaved it doesn't mean you are. its different coming from a minority, especially the Black Man. White people have not endured anything close to what Black people suffered, and in some instances suffer to this day. It would be inappropriate if a white person were to say that because compared to minorities they have not suffered the same prejudice (except the Jews). The enslavement of Black people is history. It will always be remembered. Even though it did not happen to me personally I still feel the effects of slavery because it is my people. Those hundreds of years that my people were enslaved may not have as much attention on it when the world that we live stops enslaving us. And just because they do not do it with chains and whips does not mean it does not exsist. Slavery is still relevent because we are still being enslaved.

Do not judge a particular race, until you have worked a 1000 miles in their shoes.
Most think they understand Black people but they do not, unless you are in a relationship or married to a Black person. Even then, it is not experience until that non-black person is actually with the Black person. When the non-black is alone by themselves, they do not have the difficult experience.

It's not just Jackson's political agenda, it was Bernie Mac's, so I think that's perfectly fine.
Keep in mind, that at a funeral, it's not just about mourning, but representing what that person stood for.
And Bernie Mac was a comedian with strong beliefs, and these guys paid great tribute to that.
