The parts that are her singing live are Great! But I fear that there may have been some recording 'magic' aiding here in the whistle register bars. Something isnt quite right. But she does have a great voice. However you can hear her top out with her headvoice just before the middle whistle notes, and she doesn't seem to be able to blend/mix them together so it makes me doubt the high notes.
@MrTravelerJack - No recording magic. There are 2 or 3 other versions of Annie singing this on YouTube. The one at Kulaks was recorded live. She was 10 when this was done and you are correct - had not yet mastered the blend. The altissimo notes are hers, though,no punch in or edit. She has a four octave range up to F or G6.The only edit was to remove the orchestral section before the altissimo bars so she wasn't standing there for 20 seconds not singing.
heyy so if i did my math rightt i think im about annies agee.. and i just wanted to say tht id KILL for your voice ! you are absolutely
amazingggg. n e v e r stop singing(: and please just ignore these haters.. theyr jealous of tht whistle rangee haha. so am i. but anywayss. i hope you make it big somedayy cuz at 10 you wer honestly better than half the ppl in hollywood todayy.
Range and power are fine, but tone, and resonance, and phrasing are what make beautiful distinctive voices. Perhaps as her voice matures, she will develop a more pleasing tone. In the meantime, pushing this much power through a young voice can be very damaging. This is the time in her development that she should be working on technique that is appropriate for her age and respectful of her still developing instrument.
She is not lip syncing. There are two other videos on YouTube of the same song, recorded two years apart where she sings the same notes. One was recorded at Kulaks with a live audience. The notes are different each time. The notes are not Linda Eders voice punched in either. Linda Eder is in her 40's and she sings the entire passage in one breath. Annie sings it in two. Annie does have a four octave vocal range and the top note is F5.
OMG!!! annnie annie annie annie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its marina...omg ur sooososososososoososososososososososososos GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!! lol and omf u look like stephinie from full house. lol ok but seriously ur amazung
It's the Linda Eder version. Watch her performance on YouTube, I think it's called Man of LaMancha, rather than I Don Quixote. She does the altissimo all in one breath. She is truly amazing.
