What pisses me off is the freak got what SHE deserved but unfortunately two innocent people died due to HER weakness and perversions. The movie left me a little confused on the real story, seeing that hollywood usually changes or leaves out little details in the actual events. For instance, was she really a transgender female or did she just use that as a way of hiding the fact of hiding her true identity to get away with thefts that she was commiting in that community. Why would she go into a community that she was fully aware of with the reputation of violence against homosexuals.
She was a transsexual male (woman - man). I do not think she fled to this city by reason of not being accepted by the family as it was understood was that the documentary.

I watched the movie "Boys Don't Cry" and I couldn't get Brandon out of my head for days afterward. I know the movie is based on the true story, with a few Hollywood adjustments, but the basic storyline is very actual to the real events. It was heartwrenching!! Those two men don't deserve the death penalty, they deserve to be beaten, wraped, embarrassed, frightened and murdered just as they did to Brandon! Seeing as how they're in prison, I hope they get some of that before they die.

this was a great video! I was only 13 at the time when this tragic even occurred and I remember it. I didn't know all of the facts then but I recently viewed the movie Boys Dont Cry with Hilary Swank and it galvanized me to research and to find any and everything I could regarding this case.

They simply killed the black man for being black and killed the friend for hiding Teena Bradon in her home. Almost killed Lana as well but let her alive with the friends baby girl. So they were charged with three counts of murder.

The movie left me a little confused on the real story, seeing that hollywood usually changes or leaves out little details in the actual events. For instance, was she really a transgender female or did she just use that as a way of hiding the fact of hiding her true identity to get away with thefts that she was commiting in that community. Why would she go into a community that she was fully aware of with the reputation of violence against homosexuals.

I watched the movie "Boys Don't Cry" and I couldn't get Brandon out of my head for days afterward. I know the movie is based on the true story, with a few Hollywood adjustments, but the basic storyline is very actual to the real events. It was heartwrenching!! Those two men don't deserve the death penalty, they deserve to be beaten, wraped, embarrassed, frightened and murdered just as they did to Brandon! Seeing as how they're in prison, I hope they get some of that before they die.

(MESSAGE ENDING) the ones who really know God, know that he is LOVE and nothing else, and that Christ brings a wonderful message of LOVE, which I really admire, although I'm an atheist (but for what I see, an atheist person understands better God's message than a christian, although I don't know if you believe or not). and homosexuality IS love. This is the way I see it.
I want to adopt from every continent. That way I have a child from every part of the world. I will love each one as if they were my own flesh and blood.
I'll have goals for my children and want them to be happy. If my children don't want to be what I hoped they would be. If they choose to be their own person and be someone I did not plan on them being, then I will not love them any less. If I am only human, then how could a perfect god of love be different?

To bwitched: I think it's great that you made this tribute video; however, I think it would have better honored Brandon's memory to refer to him by his preferred name (Brandon Teena). If we keep calling him by his female birth name, I think it's almost like denying the fact that he was transgender.

WildIrishRose, are you saying that God condoned the violent rape and murder of Brandon Teena because he was transgendered? Or are you saying that being gay, lesbian or transgendered is a sin EQUAL to the rape and murder perpetrated against Brandon Teena and two others? Look deep within your soul and ask yourself: can you seriously think that?! If this was your sibling, your friend, your classmate raped and murdered, would you still feel the same way?

its a messed up story that is really sad. No matter wat Brandon did he didnt deserve to die! he just wanted to be himself, he was gonna get a sex change he was just saving up for it! so just leave it at that. Lisa's son and Lana were spared.

What people might not know is that Teena Bradon, another woman who was in there friend circle and a black man were all killed. They simply killed the black man for being black and killed the friend for hiding Teena Bradon in her home. Almost killed Lana as well but let her alive with the friends baby girl. So they were charged with three counts of murder.

I have to agree with you and jig both. First GOD forgives everyone no matter the sin AS LONG as they have accepted him into their lives and have been born again. Second homosexuality is an abomination unto the lord and it punishable by death. That comes from the bible. Third god hates the sin and loves the sinner, so no matter if you are a homosexual, a murderer a rapist or anything of the sort GOD loves you. He hates the sin we all commit but he still loves every person.

Every body in them selves are different and thats how its supoosed to be. But know matter how different we are on the out side we all still have a heart, two lungs, two kidneys a liver, a brain, and blood flowing threw our veins...all because god or w.e you believe in knows what are plans are and knows exactly who we are going to be so he obviously wanted some diversity in the world. Hence Brandon Teena.

i think its messed up that these people go out and cause hate crimes and they beat/kill people because of their race or orientation and then they get so upset because they get the death penalty. people need to seriously think about their actions before they go out and act upon them.

When I first saw this film, I had read about the story earlier. It's so sad that in this day and age we still have to learn tolerance,
and acceptance from society, to just be yourself. The film was amazing, and so tragic.
I believe because it was a gay crime, the jail sentences were not as harsh as they should have been. That in itself is the crime.Why can't we all just get along? Peace.

it is sad how some perpetrators get less time in prison than what they normally would have if circumstances had been different..if teena was happy living as brandon..then by all means..he should have been able to have done that without being harmed.
