is it just volume an tone knobs on the 160e i wana get a pickup fitted and get an amp for ny ej200 but roughly £150 so think ill upgrade just wanted some advice wether the 160e is a nice guitar
yes volume and tone pots. that'd be cool if you mod your ej200 to have an electric guitar pickup, be sure to put a P90 to get the j-160e tone, it would be awesome!
I'm debating between this guitar and a Epiphone Ej-200ce, which one do you recommend? Have you played an Epiphone Ej-200ce? Is this guitar good for recording and stuff? :) thnx and nice cover btw i love that song... :D
i never played a ej200, does it have an acoustic pickup? this guitar can be either played as an acoustic, or as an electric when plugged, because the pickup s sound isnt acoustic but eletric (since it is a mini humbucker). i guess that acoustically they both sound pretty the same.
thanks for the compliment, im not recording in a mixer, i record through a line6 ux2 audio card and then in my mac, it records the video&sound simultaneously in iMovie. the mic is a shure sm57, but in this video it might me a behringer c1 condenser..
try one in a shop is good, but you have to crank it a bit to see what it can really do, otherwise you will only hear the loud acoustic sound of the guitar itself and think "this guitar has no electric sound", I did this experience. This guitar is perfect, it is THE guitar for the 1962-1963 Beatles period, electrically. If you want me to cover any song, you're wondering how would it sound there, tell me. Don't forget I'm playing on a cheap Laney 15Transistor, so on a nice amp it will sound COOLER
thanks for the tip. i usually shop at my local guitar center and try the guitars i buy out 3 to 4 different times before i purchase it. im actually really starting to consider this, because i found out that on the studio versions, Lennon used this guitar on songs i'd like a rickenbacker for. the rickenbacker was more of his live instrument. This might be the more reasonable buy for me in the long term
for example, things like a hard days night, cant buy me love, help, baby's in black were recorded on acoustic, but Lennon used the Ric live. either is a nice purchase, but if i want to sound like the "studio" beatles, im gonna go with this one. plus, my parents put a deal on the table i cant turn down. my dad is offering to pay for half of my rickenbacker if i maintain decent grades and a summer job
Awesome...very nice. I really like your rendition. How do you like that EJ-160e? I wonder if the quality is up to that of the Epi Masterbilt series? I can't decide between that and a AJ-500ME. A Gibson j-160e is completely out of the que$tion.
I like it very much, to me it feels great and sounds very beatley, but remember you won't get an acoustic sound when plugged, you well get this kind of sounds, or listen to I Feel Fine or Please Please Me or some BBC sessions for example. If you like the Beatles, and being original, this is the guitar for you. You won't find similar sounds around you when plugged...plus it's THE rhythm guitar, great sound for rhythm
AHHH i love this song"" the rhythm and in the lead guitar!! please please please friend!! send me the chords!! please please!! or the link of the tab! I hope =) all stars!!
